for me its pointless, i mean whats the point in bringing a team to SL when at the end of the season they end up with 5 wins max,and have crowds of less then 3k? Crusaders and the quins offer nothing to this league, therefore they must be kicked out to allow teams like widnes and halifax in, bring back the simple relegation and promotion i say. Minus their two matches in Neath, the Crusaders averaged over 5,000, better than Salford and not far off Wakey if I recall correctly, and that is with the club only being in Wrexham for one year, plenty of heartland clubs have had around a century to develop their fan bases and their stadiums. As for Quins, the question was put to someone at the RFL and it's been emphatically stated that 'without London, I don't think we'd have Sky'. Sky never wanted a Yorksire & Lancashire league, hence when SL was started the plan was for several expansion teams to be included. Incidentally Halifax's attendances in Superleague were abysmal , so if you want to include them at the expense of London then you better be prepared to watch a semi-professional 'Superleague' with all our best talent heading off to Union.

What do you mean so called expansion team? They ARE an expansion team. As I have already said, it has been stated by an RFL official that 'without London, I doubt we would have Sky'. Are you willing to watch a semi-professional Superleague with a significantly reduced profile for the sake of seeing Halifax in SL in place of London? (the same Halifax who got lower crowds than London). |

quins crowds are pathetic , rugby is poor, offer nothing. if you want expansion the RFL should set clubs up in places like bath, maybe newcastle, that would be the wildcard, lots of people= big fan base, potentialy big crowds, same for london but that potential never materialised.

They may be poor, but their crowds are no worse than Halifax's were in SL, and only slightly worse than Leigh's, and only a little worse than Salford's now. Incidentally as far as I'm aware London have never finished bottom, so Rugby not exactly as poor as some heartland clubs eh? You also have to take into account their youth work, theres a lot of talent coming through down there and they prefer to blood youngsters than buy Australians, unlike Hull 'let's have 10 Australians in our side' Sydney Rovers. What part of 'without London, I don't think we'll have Sky' don't you understand? The RFL doesn't have the money to set up random clubs in Bath and Newcastle, RL clubs rely on wealthy benefactors, such as Hughes who ploughs millions of pounds into Harlequins and into the sport of Rugby League, and your hair brained idea is to tell wealthy benefactors like Hughes to bog off so the RFL can bankrupt themselves setting up a club in Bath?
