Did you actually go the game last night? If you had you would have seen that the third try came from Radford forcing his way over from Dummy half

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...:

i thought Radford had taken the ball on his own line and beat all 13 Bradford player on a weaving run from one try line to the other icon_lol.gif or it could have been a 2 yard spin and crash type of try a014.gif

The defence again was world class, with plenty of people putting their bodies on the line. Hull scored three tries with all of them having an element of luck about them. The first one in the 47th minute of first half stoppage time, you could see what was going to happen as the scrum was being formed, with Long pointing and directing.
Just a shame that the bounce of the ball didn't go our way as Tansey who was onside this time just pounced before the dead ball line.

.'"

Perhaps that is why Tansey got to the ball, after 47 minutes of stoppage time for the first half your lot were just to pooped to do anything????
Or maybe it was because Tansey was more alert and didn't give up where as your lot just stood and thought the ball was going out of play? If you could see what was going to happen, why couldn't the players?
Perhaps you should invest in a better radio, you might see things more clearly!! icon_wink.gif icon_lol.gif

To be fair to Mick, from the far end it was just a jumble of bodies and then fans cheering.

There's always an element of luck with how a rugby ball bounces but I thought Long was outstanding with his kicks, both the 40/20 and the kicks to the line put us under pressure, most of which we dealt with pretty well. In such bad conditions our handling was actually far better than it had been the previous week.

We've had a tough run with the top four in the first seven games so three wins is a decent haul. Defensively we were enormous last night, to keep a good side like Hull to three tries showed a lot of skill, determination and heart, imo. Let's hope the sickness bug clears up and doesn't affect anyone else, so then hopefully we can kick on next week.

Btw, there didn't seem to be all that much in the way of injuries, so can anyone shed light on why both halves lasted around 45 minutes?

Exactly. All you saw from our end was a mash of bodies and then everyone celebrating. We didn't even have a clue who'd scored it until the announcement.

One big negative for me last night was the few thousand wannabee referees in the East Stand. I know the holding down was an issue, but, as has been said, it was for both sides. I really didn't see the need for them to shout and moan at every single bloody tackle and then every time they played the ball, shouting for offside. I've only ever once seen fans as bad as that for wanting penalties and that was at the other side of Hull a couple of years ago. Completely ruined the first half having the fans try to influence the referee so much.

I don't think it helped them either to be honest. It seemed to me that Thaler was then leaving even more latitude so that it didn't look like he was pandering to the crowd.

I appreciate fans will always shout for decisions and there'll always be a hint of bias, but I think it got taken a bit far last night from the East Stand (the other two stands were absolutely fine).

I take it that this Scrappy Do has school on Monday? Not very clever for you take the out of fans who pay good money to watch their team.

I think it was plain for everyone to see what was going to happen in the 47th minute.

When Longs pointing and directing at the scrum, I shouted at Reardon to watch for the overlap, cue the kick inbetween the posts.

Also please can you tell the chocolate sellers to off. That blond bird with the glasses was blocking my view.for a good five minutes.

The East stand was bad last night if Im honest and as I posted in the game thread on total rl.

It was as if it had been taken over by St Helens fans, all the booing and moaning and cries of forwaaaaaaard.

When Thaler chalked off the Manu try (which happend right in front of us), Jesus wept at some of the numpties jumping around.

Anyhow not a bad game.

Yes sykes was our culprit last night for that. icon_surprised.gifops:

I like watching the super 14 (yawion) and they have a rule where they have to take their conversions in 30 secs or lose it, i am also sure its coming in to english RU quite soon so maybe RL should look at this idea.

Because half the time its not about kicking the ball, there either taking a drink, cleaning their shoes, pulling their socks up or using a piece of grass to see the direction of the way the wind blows. I think it almost took one of danny tickles conversions last night 3 mins !!!! as a RL supporter i want to watch the game and not spend half the game looking at the kickers.

I'm glad someone else has mentioned the length of the first half, we had got it to 45 minutes before the hooter went but we couldn't see the countdown clock anywhere, did we really have 5 minutes worth of stoppages. eusa_think.gif

I didn't really understand that. I know teams do it when they're winning in order to waste time, but we were losing. I know teams do it to have a rest, but we really didn't have time to be resting, we needed points. It seemed like an incredibly strange time to be taking so long for dropouts, but Sykes did it on more than one occasion last night in the second half.

I really couldn't work out how it was helping us at all to be wasting the time.

Regarding the goal kicking btw, Tickle is the worst in the league for wasting time. He was even worse for it when he was at Wigan. At goal kicks though, I believe there is a rule that says after 1 minute, the clock gets stopped.

Bradford gave us Hockney, Leeds gave us Moyles.:731.jpg

Anyone else noticed that Saints at home is the o ly game where we haven't reversed last year's result? Don't know what that means.

yes, i believe that is the rule and it was applied last night, the clock was stopped whilst tickle was about to take his kick, this maybe explains y the 2nd half lasted 47 mins

When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Unfortunately it's usually an oncoming train:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_7741.jpg

I personally think that the RFL should introduce a rule where for dead ball kicks like conversions and drop outs the clock should be stopped from the moment the ball goes out of play until it is kicked. There's always been players who taken forever with their kicks and it ruins the flow of the game.

I can understand kicking a conversion from the touchline is harder than from bang in front of the posts, but there are players who take just as long for one as the other and it's done as a way to run down the clock.
