I reckon Stuart is just as "risky" as Glen was (is?) . . . .
FWIW I fully agree with your quota spot point though (home grown and all that) which is why I clarified what I originally wrote with the word "partly". The key thing on the quota spot, for me, is that we use them all, and use them all wisely.

| If he performs to his ability then it's a decent signing. I'd pick him ahead of Sheriffe but we do need more than 2 wingers as I wouldn't move Halley from what appears to be his best position.
While we don't need another full back (Halley/Platt/Sykes) it's sometimes useful to have someone on the pitch who can drop into that position.
We do need a quality centre as Sykes and Platt aren't exactly first choice is there.

| It just gets better and better doesn't it
Another failure comes back to the club. You know it wouldn't surprise me if the club goes under in a season or so. Theres only so much belt tightning that is possible before things get past the point of no return. I bet the club isn't paying anywhere near the full salary cap right now.

No need for the white colour - none taken.
However, whether he is from Scotland or not, I reckon he has a point.

| Quote: tigertot "Could still make a decent full back but IMO he was never a winger. Usually serious leg injuries don't improve your speed either. I have not seen him play centre so can't comment but would doubt he improves on what you have ATM.
I was thinking about the accuations of him being a wife beater when I was having a shower this morning - hope this doesn't get me in hot water.'"

| He is a good player, and we all remember some tremendous displays from Stuart. I hope all his injury problems can now be put aside, and in form he would be a tremendous asset to the side.

| Reardon for me was one of the biggest disappointments we signed at Warrington. He was another Daryl Cardiss, ie a good player whose abilities began to wane quite early in his career due to injury, who we signed just at the time he was going on a downward turn.
He had a handful of good games for Warrington and his tackle bust stats were good, but overall he made little impact when he was fit and was injured a lot. A shame because he had looked like a really good prospect around 2002-04, but considering he was supposedly a top earner and Cullen said he was the best kick returner in the league, he didn't live up to his billing.

| He went to Wire for bigger money than he was offered at the Bulls. £75k a year IIRC. I expect he'll be on a fraction of that now.
I see him primarily as a winger who can cover fullback. He was never good enough at centre. At fullback he was ok but rumour had it that gd was too quiet at the back and the team needed a FB who could impose himself and didn't mind shouting at senior players to cover the gaps.
He's another body on board at least, let's face it we have the thinnest squad since super league began (no Solomona gags please).

| A useful addition to the squad I think.
While it doesn't set the world of rugby league on fire, it may prove to be a very shrewd signing and as has already been stated, the length of deal puts the ball very much in Stuarts court. Let's hope he goes all out to prove himself.
