I've only ever seen him play wing, looked pretty good - blockbusting and pacy. Didn't know about the leg breaks though

Well they'd join a long list of Bulls players, including Sir James and Danny Peacock through Withers and Hape and on through the likes of Henderson who most commentators would regard as having had unfulfilled potential when they joined?

Bit mediocre and had a thing about poodles, but nowhere near the Zisti league.

Nick Zisti, from WikiNick Zisti began his professional career playing for South Sydney Rabbitohs where he made 6 appearances off the bench between 1991 and 1993, scoring no points.'"
A promising start to his career.

| Still got a year left on his Canberra contract, big, strong and VERY fast, plays both centre and wing.. but, Canberra are losing a few of there senior players (reluctantly) one of them being a centre, due to topping up younger players contracts, Carney being one of them.
He is very much a part of the Raiders long term future.
(Born Canberra/ Raised Bradford)!!

It's only one break - but two bones - fibula and tibia (which technically I know is two breaks, but you know what I mean).

I broke them both in 2006, but I just say I fractured my leg.

| I remember reading about him when he broke onto the season. Apparently he's a flyer. Think he's more of a winger than a centre though.

He's a very good winger. Fast and strong. Not to sure about him being a stand off though. Would be a decent buy.

| Never heard of Carney playing in the halves (maybe someone's gotten him mixed up with former Raider, Todd Carney). He came to the Raiders as a hooker, played in the U20s team as a left centre, earning the title as best in his position by the end of the comp's inaugral year. His try scoring record in the comp was nearing 2 a game, before being promoted to first-grade.
He is an integral part of the 2008 U20s backline crop who are making a name for themselves in the NRL. They're all staying at the Raiders for at least another couple of years.

| interesting that carney is both under contract and highly rated by raiders fans. can't help wondering if this could be part of a swap deal for sam. cant see us being a position to pay a transfer fee for carney but if hes part payment to release sam for next year then it could make sense, especially as carney is a player in a position we need to strengthen.
