| A massive clearout is needed at Bradford starting with McNamara and his shambolic coaching set up including Martin Clawson, the team looks so unfit.
If Hood does not act soon we are going to be in a massive hole. Beautiful day yesterday and nearly 9,000 turned up, thats shocking. We are no longer a big club and don't deserve to be classed as a big club. However a new coaching staff, get rid of the dead wood, get some new players in the team, more advertising and the crowds will go up, if they keep going down we wont be able to afford any top players.

Think it will take more than that. I know the purists hate it but you have to have a reason to take the family to the match and that means entertaining the kids.

Hood claimed last season that the club was losing money staging games at odsal with crowds of 11,000?
Surely with crowds much lower than that regularly at odsal this season that something has to give in regards to future player recruitment

| Quote: Ewwenorfolk "Tbh If we could disregard contracts altogether and have a clearout then.....
Out
Sykes
Godwin
Sheriffe
Platt
Deacon
Cook
Solomona
Morrison
Jeffries
Imo these are either not good enough to get us anywhere or are too injury prone. Obviously this ould be providing we could find quality replacements.'"
I would keep jeffries, not really anyone better on the market, and i doubt hes all that expensive. That is if newton is going and wing is coming, then he would play hooker.
as for the others i agree they should go but i doubt they will all leave until there contracts run. Another year for deacon then Richie Myler?? Platt will rot in t reserves until his contract is up.
Morrison is the only one I would maybe be tempted to sign up as he is quality but would be a massive risk due to injuries, so would have to see if there is anyone else out there who is any better.

Now mate this Is one of those proper rumours so here goes: my cuz has the same hairdresser as big Sam( I know you couldn't make it up) but he said that Sam has been offered a deal in oz and wants to go! Bradford have been offered money and players(which is almost unheard of) but the bulls won't let him go and Sam is most pi$$ed off about it!!

Rightly so, he signed a contract and should honour it. Either way, a rumour is a rumour so we should probably take it as a pinch of salt for now.

TBH, if he is piddled off that he can't go we would, depending on the quality of players being offered, be better taking the deal IMO. An unhappy player is not what is wanted at the club.
Of course, assuming this is all true!
And if it was, I thought that McNamara was the reason he wanted to stay in the first place?????

I agree, but still.. he shouldn't be piddled when he was the one who signed the contract.
Either way, if we get some decent players in and a huge transfer fee then that's great.

| As much as i hate to say it, i hope Morrison gives up playing for his own sake, but we keep him on as a coach.

Jamie Peacock didn't do to bad for us in his final year and half at Bulls.

I, and at least one other poster on here, were told a bit ago from the highest level the gate the club needed to break even on a matchday. We were also told the incremental financial "contribution" per head through the turnstiles. The economics may well have changed since then, of course. But I recognise the figure being quoted.

The figure was 10k IIRC.

| He'll almost certainly end up at Manly and I wouldn't be surprised to see him follow Beaver over for a few years at the end of next season. I'd like to then see him return a much better player for the Bulls but that is unlikely if we're still achieving similar results to this season.
How good are his younger brothers? Do they have genuine potential as SL players? He'd no doubt relish the opportunity to play alongside them but hopefully not as keen to play with older brother Luke!
I certainly wouldn't stand in his way if he fancied a stint in the NRL, if I got offered employment over there I'd probably go too.
