| On the face of it, it would seem he has decided that Bradford is, after all, a club with a good future that will be going places. Maybe he did not always think that, but you'd have to assume he must now. So by implication he has placed his trust in the club and the coaching staff.
Maybe that's something else he should be seen as a role model in?
And yes, brilliant news - one of the best bits of news we could have hoped for.

| This news really is better than announcing a major new signing for next year. Yes, we can all say that we need this position and that position, but the bottom line is we've just signed one of the best props in the league to us for 3 years, and he doesn't need any settling in period.
And I still don't get how Tony Smith manages to overlook him.

As is always the case. It's always "nailed on" until it proves to be wrong. At which point, fans of whichever club lost out on the signing blames money and the player wanting too much. It's never ever that the player just wanted to play for another club.
We only see it a few dozen times a year.

| i would have loved lynch down at cas and so would he coming from some of the cas fans who know him or people around him so if we were in the mix for him why hasn't he signed.
one of the guys in the know who i believe what he says is that our CEO wouldn't fork out whatever he wanted in salary which is pretty understandable if he wanted a hefty contract as we are over paying for a lot of our players at the moment.
maybe you just beat us with an offer that was too good to refuse.

| As Andy was probably looking for his last contract I would imagine that the length of the contract (and therefore stability) would be the most important element, rather than a big salary hike. That is unless you could earn the same in, say, 2 years, but then you have to take into account the extra year of tax allowance on earnings yo get from the 3 year deal.

Three year's pay in two is worth far far more than any tax implication. And the taxpayer would anyway still have the PA and the basic rate band available for year three.

I guess then that we can say that no-one offered him a two year deal anywhere near as good then. And, at 30 ish, it is fairly brave to offer a 3 year deal. (Was Morrison on 1 or 2 years when he first signed?)

| Great news this. Suddenly life seems worth living and the sun is shining.
He is the Lynchpin of our team and it would have been a low blow if he left us for the likes of Wigan.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| At this stage of his career I'd imagine a 3 year deal would be hard to turn down, however given the impact his departure would have had on the club, and more importantly the impact on the supporters, you can't argue with them offering him it (unless it is silly money).

"[iA host of Super League clubs, including Wigan and Hull FC, had been desperate to take Lynch away from Bradford with his current contract up at the end of the campaign.
But, after months of negotiating, the talented forward has confirmed his decision to stay.
