Just accept that McNamara called it right. Deacon won the match with his first half passes. Maybe he looked sharp in training and so got picked?!

| Thinking long term, Myler at Salford shares an agent with Worrlord, doesn't he?

| Deacs justified his selection, Macca was right to pick him. Our centres were both quality aswell, Nero was good on his first game back aswell.

| Quote: redeverready "Sorry but that point is a little confusing. Hasn't today shown that he is an automatic selection. After all he was brought straight back in to the side after the side had played well the week before. IMO it would have been a fair call if he'd been at the top of his game before his injury but he wasn't.'"
TBH I don't think ANY player should be an automatic selection. My point was that Deacon has hardly been setting the world alight over the last few years (when fit that is) and yet he seems to get picked regardless. Yes, he did put in a good performance against Wakey but, IMO, he needs to continue and improve those performances

| By no means was it the worst game he has had; a good ball to Langley (who I'd just said to my mate seconds earlier had not made a break in 3 years) & went through a gap before realising he has no pace & was a bit lost for ideas. His kicking was poor by his standards & he was trampled all over in the seond half.
The big bonus was Jeffries, who was absolutely outstanding in attack. The pace he took the line on was devastating. In a weekend where no-one really stood out as player of the tournament, I would give it to BJ. Big rap also to Sykes, who had the best game I've seen him have in a Bulls shirt.
I'd agree about Myler, looks an outstanding prospect. I think there might be a bit of competition for his services, unfortunatley for Bradford. Saints would be my bet. (One of the rumours I heard was Pryce is out due to his external activities, with Eastmond taking over (will never happen in m book)).

I would like to see Myler at Bradford but I'd probably go with Saints aswell. Wouldn't mind Pryce back if he was released but would have to watch him carefully off-pitch

that rumours been round a bit - cant see us being able to outbid wire tbh.
plus he'd be nearly 32 at beginning of next season - which whilst not over the hill is gettin on a bit for a half so hardly a long term solution. We need to be looking at someone mid twenties who we can build round for a few seasons imo.

Suspect the playing field may be a little bit more level now though, thanks to the worthy gentlemen of HMRC? But also suspect the likes of Wire will still manage to rustle up image rights deals from unconnected third parties to blow others away though. Sorry, I meant the player's agent will be able to...

Bit old, wouldn't be long term. I'd rather have Myler.

So would I.
How long is he tied into a deal at Salford?
We could ask Robbie to have a word in his ear!
I'd still have Orford though.

I would have him, but it wouldn't be a long term solution. Not sure about Myler but if he does end up going I doubt it will be to us.
