Stupid this IS...had he actually managed to get the ball away (and I'll admit a teeny bit of me was hoping he would...bet I wasn't the only one) then that could have been a superb opportunity to get the ball out to the wing for a length of the field try. It never happened, but if it had then we'd doubtless be looking at it a bit differently (albeit telling Platt PLEASE don't do that to us again...)?
But I guess my Auntie continues to lack goolies so she continues not to be my uncle...

I think he'll go tomorrow personally. The club usually go for morale boosting news just before the Leeds games, so news of a new coach coming in would boost attendances and boost morale a little.

I agree. If you watch it, Platt knows he's tackled and is looking at Nero and his intention is clearly to pass to him. If it'd come off then Bulls would have been on the front foot at a crucial point in the game. And I don't think one blip in what has been an improving few weeks for our much malined full back should be held against him

And that coach would be who? Would sacking a coach and putting Basil Richards in temporary charge lift morale?

I just said the same to some family members who hadn't seen the game and were lambasting Platt.
Hopefully he'll keep up the improvements and not be too downbeat - he's actually been good for the last couple of weeks.

Might be just me but I thought that the ball came off the Catalan players shoulder who was on the floor and got the try (granted he didn't play at it).
Should it have been a knock on?

No.
There are a wealth of coaches out of jobs down under and here in the UK though, who I'm sure are looking to get their careers back up and running.
Murray,
Monie,
Lang,
Harrison
just to name a few.
Maybe the announcement won't come tomorrow, but there are plenty of replacements there who could come in and do a decent job, maybe even work in a DOR role?

Well he wasn't in the changing room at half time as he was busy talking to the BBC so can we blame him too?

| think if you are not in the right frame of mind to do a tv interview, then you must send out your assistant coach as the guys do in football,if not you come across as a guy not handling the pressure which as we know the media love, from a neutral viewpoint thought steve macs interview didnt do him any favours, very much the condemned man, very paul ince like in his last days at blackburn

Gosh I'm depressed tonight. Part of me hopes that McNamara holds his hands up and says he's given it his best shot but has taken the Bulls as far as he can.
Hood seems to think Macca is the quality coach who can lead us out of this mess. Obviously he sees more than the average fan, but how long can we carry on without seeing evidence of this good work? If Hood does decide a change is needed, it is vital we get the right man this time around. That person may not be immediately available.
