Hope Leigh carry this mentality into the 8s
More interested in settling scores and going in high than playing rugby - it was expected though. Not sure how there hasn't been a sin binning.
Still not confident we will win this one with no halfbacks but good first half and we did our best to not get dragged into a brawl again.[/quote]
I am sure Bradford Angels will be fine !

| I'm not worried if we have to play them in the 8s - we'll batter them if any halves are fit to play.
I would be worried going into the 8s if I were Leigh conceding 36 points against a side with no playmakers. Embarrassing!
Apparently they were going to beat us easily and that was with Gaskell!
Still lots of work for us defensively if we want to push any of the SL sides but much better than last week.

| Yes scoring 36 points with no halves is pretty good
We should be very confident going to Leigh in the 8s

Did Gaskell play at the LSV earlier this season. Also the players you had today won't be wanting to lose their place so played out of their skin. Either way it adds spice to the middle 8s. Hope both teams can get up but that could be difficult. Incidentally was there a brawl?

| Bit like the old days! Great crowd of nearly 10,000 in the sunshine, two decent teams slugging it out toe to toe for 80 minutes, you can't really complain. On the day, a draw was probably a fair enough result, but Leigh should never have ended the game with 13 men on the field. The headshot on O'Brien was surely worthy of a red, for starters, but not even a sin bin? WTF?
Having complained about that, it was refreshing to have a SL ref in charge, the difference was plain to see, and he was determined to let the game flow as much as possible, but didn't miss any key calls.
With no halfbacks against the much-vaunted Ridyard and Co., you've gotta take that performance.
The only thing that disappoints me is the singing. Sure, we make plenty of noise, but having missed the opportunity earlier in the season to sing Uiasele (to the tune of Rod Stewart's "We are sailing", we have now missed the chance to sing "Omari" to the tune of Volare!
"Omaaaaaari
Caaa-ro
Omaaaaaari
Caaa-aa-aa- ro
mari, Omari Caro
Omari, Omari Caro
I did sing it on my own though.

| No wonder Leigh have trouble in Yorkshire. They come over with the attitude of hunting heads, get the opposition to start fighting then take them apart when they are rattled. Bulls didn't fall for it and ran in 36 points with no half backs. If we do have to go to LSV don't see much of a problem.

| I could see Barlow was trying to get one started with a few late shots but it didn't really happen ........ For all his faults I thought Childs did fine in policing most aspects of the game
Interesting game to say nothing at stake..... It may be that some recognised half backs in our colours could have made the difference but I'm glad they didn't play if there a
was any risk. Thought Addy was excellent especially considering who he was facing. Both teams should be working hard on defence or SL teams will have a field day.

| I think overall Lowes and co will be pretty pleased with that performance. Players ran hard and actually looked like they wanted it today. Still some silly mistakes thrown in there that cost us some points but generally we looked a completely different side to the last few weeks. I thought Child had a decent game and like others have said it was a noticeable step up in refereeing standards.
Only negative was that moron Sam Hopkins dragging O'Brien up off the floor whilst he was down injured. You just don't do that if a player is down injured regardless of whether you believe the injury to be serious or not. Thankfully it wasn't a serious injury but disappointing to see nevertheless.

He had his thigh strapped at the end so I assume so.

| Great game. Definitely a point gained for us as I gave us no chance with no half backs. Leigh looked beatable today and with a full team, I am way more confident then before.
Leigh were way better after half time when they cut out the stupid stuff. They should really just stick to playing.

| Micky Higham was the game changer for them. His speed around the ruck during the first 20 minutes of the second half nearly killed us off.

To be fair, it was strapped during the match too.

| Much much much improved today!! With Mullaney and Gaskell in the side we would have won comfortably. That said, doesn't mean once they are back for the 8's we'll automaticallyh win. Still need the performance to back it up.
Was a great game to watch in front of a great crowd. Both clubs putting a few SL clubs to shame today. Today's performance showed why the fans were so frustrated with the last couple of weeks, even months. We have a damn good side. Just not been performing.
We can beat anyone in those 8's:
Thought Adam Sidlow was immense.
