That is true about Sykes bringing the experience and mental & physical toughness to the role. It's a shame Cain isn't in the squad but I imagine he'd either be dropped from the final 17 or would be on the bench for 75 minutes (McNamara style super sub).

| If it goes ahead it may be beneficial to us. Watching the Cas game - it wasn't dependant on half-backs - but hard work in the forwards. We may be best getting it out of the way now, when it's going to be a low scoring tough game rather tan later on in the season when Wigan have Richards, Finch etc back to try and beat us on hard ground.
Lets give Lynch, Hargreaves & Scrutes the ball and let them run it up the middle |

If you play like you did for 60 mins last week, this could be an excellent opportunity for turning them over on a heavy Odsal pitch.
Would all the resultant nonsense from Gledhow be worth it for the rest of us? I'm not sure.

Looking forward to the game, getting a coach at half ten so hope the game is confirmed before then. I think a heavy pitch will definitely even things up, but after the way you lot played last week I don't think it needed evening up! Just hope we can avoid any more injuries in these conditions with the wcc next week!

I wish it was called off. This is bloody awful. Some key decisions gone against us that we need to beat the likes of wigan.
No halfbacks and it shows. A lot of pre season optimism getting blown away inside 40 mins.
