| Quote: jools "I find it quite sad that a player who's put his body on the line for your club over several years is being vilified for trying to do right by his family- if you want someone to blame then blame the useless RFL. If they had confirmed immediately that the bulls were definitely staying in superleague the future of the players would have been a lot more secure and he might not have felt the need to refuse his contract under TUPE.'"
It's not what he's done, it's the manner in which he's done it that has upset people.
And besides, if he'd accepted the TUPE and the Bulls were removed from SL then his contract would have been void anyway and he could have joined any club without any fuss. I doubt there was any club in SL who didn't have their eye on at least one Bulls player and held back funds to cover their salary should the opportunity arise to sign them.

| I think the way he treated his fellow teammates and coaching staff by not even informing them of his decision and reasons is why most fans are bitter towards him. Especially since those coaches were working without pay and Craig continued to receive all of his wages.
But he's gone now and with that sort of attitude he won't be missed in the long term.

Better to be injured now than during the season

| No actual suggestion that it's serious - I guess they would scan it as a matter of course, hopefully it is just precautionary anyway..(leaving our usual luck out of things, of course)

| You get what you negotiate. If the Australian offer is the best on the table for Ainscough that tells you his worth in the market, which does not appear to be very high. In what way has this new regime mistreated him as you seem to be implying?

He was paid on time (except for one month 24 hours late) and in full every month by Bradford.
He contract was TUPEd over and then came to an end. His value to the club was reassessed and, like many other players around the country, he was offered a contract of a lower value.
He's far from the best player but his loyalty and effort were first class last year - however, the club simply can't afford to honour those attributes ahead of ability. I would have liked for him to have stayed (as a back up), but I can't see anything that the club has done wrong.

| Don't think Ainy feels the club has treated him unfairly either. He says he will be back, which implies there are no hard feelings.

Eh? The Bulls paid Ainscough what he agreed in his contract and Ainscough honoured that and behaved like a professional throughout that contract. Now he has decided not to accept the new offer and has once again behaved like a gentleman and professional in the manner he has left the club. CK showed none of these qualities and didn't even have the balls to address his own teammates.
Is it just me that is totally missing the point to your post?

| Ainy was treated like crap
He was dropped because he was on a £500 per game bonus so that's
Why he was left out of the side for the majority of games until there was no other
Choice but to select him. He thought it was a dirty trick dropping him for Elliot kear on
The very last game of season.
He knows bulls are in for a bad time and doesn't want money
And 60 odd thrashing every wk.

That's a lot of money for a very average winger. He certainly didn't earn that when he was repeatedly stripped by the scintillating Keighley 3/4s.
