Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill):d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40218.jpg

You are totally wrong on that score. Saints looked exactly as they have looked all season. Played some brilliant stuff, played some totally crap stuff, couldn't/couldn't be d to defend their own line while at other times did some great tackles, and indulged in a goodly number of schoolboy errors. Just like Saints of the whole season really. We haven't had gears.

I thought the Bulls worked hard but they are clearly a team with no confidence. Their errors showed that. I think it's a real shame

I totally admired the Bulls away support. I'm not sure Saints fans would have turned out like that had we lost that many matches on the bounce. I really hope next season is 100% better for the Bulls as it's sad to see them play like that.

I know exactly how you feel. In fact the last time I felt like this was when we played against a side full of youngsters from Saints....

We obviously don't have a coach as Lee St Hilaire doesn't have a clue, not that he ever claimed he did.

No team with so-called professionals should lose like that. F**king pathetic whether it was half expected or not.

Menzies probably feels like he's been left out to dry. Just hope his replacement is the same class as him and i really don't see flannery as this. Is Hall going? Hope so!

Can't wait for this season to end!

Just a trip to Wigan to go!

I have to agree with ChairMaker. That was embarrassing, I can't see how anybody could defend the players as there was an obvious lack of effort until the final few minutes.

Flannery is apparently signing a new deal with us.

Bradford were awful tonight, clearly a team that's lost all confidence and all hope of a Play Off spot and is waiting for the season to end. Easily the worst team I've seen at KR this year and I feel for everyone of you to be honest. Fair play to the Bulls fans that turned up tonight, must've been hard watching that as Saints weren't even that great.

To be fair, as a Saints fan who attended those games, i also felt cheated.

Luckily as a result, the RL introduced the squad naming system to prevent it from happening in the future.

[b:3v5chy3z]Brian McDermott paraphrased Peter Fox. "He'd say if we had 13 Bernard Dwyers we wouldn't lose many RL games. It's the same for us with JJB"[/b:3v5chy3z]:38511.jpg

Quote: The Chair Maker "I have to say as a Saints fan that was the most gutless, disorganised shower of **** ive seen in a Bradford shirt.

I dont think your guys have even been training. You were totally inept in every single area of the game.

Its not as if the Bulls is full of lower division players, you have top class SL players like Lynch, Menzies & Langley.
Along with other good pros like Scruton, Sykes & Halley .

For those players to just wave the white flag and not even bother, well its completely unprofessional and as a fan you should demand more.

As a Saints fan i felt cheated today by a Bradford team that just rolled over and let Saints just take the micky.

I thought it couldn't get worse, it just did.

Absolute and total load of crap. The amount of times we lost possession on the first tackle was embarrassing. In fact, the whole bloody game was embarrassing.

If it wasn't for the laugh we had at the end, I would have left utterly and totally depressed.

To be fair to Bradford there was a lot of effort about. Whitehead, Sykes and a few others were putting themselves about.

What made it look so daft was Bradford's lack of completion. I would LOVE to see the stats for the game. I'd say Bradford knocked on in their own 20 a good 10 times. It seemed like everytime Saints completed a set and Bradford got the ball they made a mistake on the first play of their set, knocking it on or throwing a stupid pass for an interception.

Bradford also looked very vulnerable to any sort of movement from the attacking side. The likes of Eastmond, Lomax, Foster, Wilkin and Ashurst were just trying reverse passes to players running diagonal lines and they went through almost at will, Bradford's defense seeming incapable of dealing with any movement.

I felt a tinge of sadness about the game tonight. 9,034 turned up to watch a Saints friendly lineup (Seven or eight senior pros missing) absolutely hammer Bradford. Three or four years ago that would have been a mouthwatering clash between two big rivals. Instead it was a game with no passion that barely raised a cheer nevermind the roof. The rivalry has gone completely and Bradford's future looks bleak on that showing.

I felt sad watching that. Bradford, once a great club that I feared and borderline hated has now sunk to the level where their fans cheer ironically as they make it 56-4 with 10 minutes to go.

Look on the bright side there's always someone worse off than you. After watching that Mick's bus was late and he ended up missing his train and has been freezing his nuts off at St Helens Train station for the past 45 minutes. The next train isn't for another 10 minutes and then he doesn't know how he'll get from Manchester back to Bradford as he's already missed his connecting train poor sod.

Safe journey Mick God speed!

Ouch!

Incidentally, for those who were doubting the existance of one "Mick Gledhill" in the past, I can now confirm he does exist. I spotted him at the match today (thanks to the photos he posted) and Blotto went over and had a chat with him (although I was obviously too shy to do this.....).

I stand corrected in my previous suspicions that he was an alter-ego!

smashing up the enemy in the sun rain and snow so you sleep gently at night, the dead only know one thing its good to be living:

Just come back from the match after a mad drive around the m60.

right here we go i'm going to get linched after this!.

1) warm up. - Players seemed lathargic didnt seem like they were warming up more like a warm down!
2) Penalty count. - needs to come down these cost us silly tries. ( for the person arguing with me 10 mins from time it was a knock on by one player and the ref should give it, not look the other way as they have put 60 past us)
3) Game itself. - An utterly disgraceful performance to watch and i feel sorry for both sets of fans as they had to put up with 80 mins of that dribble. bulls yet again had nothing about them no flair no determination just rolled over and said shove it in my keister! Players not doing the basics made it look like we had been sat on our bums all day during this week instead of training.
4) kick to touch- every kick to touch looked to me like they only made an advantage of 5-10 meters until 10 mins from time the linesman had to do a bit of running,
5) fans! - this is for a small minority who think its good to blame the ref every second i thought the ref was spot on tonight, kept on hearing the same dribble of **** coming from mouths blaming the ref. if the players cant hold the ball when there getting tackled how is it the refs problem? offside from the kick off? dropped balls forward passes? all down to the team tonight. quotes from the fella i was arguing with '' they've put 50 past us the ref should let it play out'' - what when a bulls player knocked on what rules are we playing here?

What about when L'Estrange kicked a 40/20 and he gave head and feed to Saints? Then Puletua knocked on but he gave head and feed to Saints again.

It wasn't the worst performance from an official, but he wasn't "spot on" and he seemed very reluctant to penalise Saints - I saw a few offsides (Wilkin, Meli & Graham the main culprits) yet he didn't penalise them.
