| Quote: Bull Mania "Doesn't say anywhere Caisleys taking us into Administration. While i am disappointed Caisley is taking the club over, it looks like the Bulls couldn't find alternative investment. ..'"
I keep asking this, but given the intervention of Caisley, and the fact that the people who are trying to do the deals are the same people that are going to be voted off -is there actually any investor that is going to do a deal with a bunch of dead men walking? Or am I missing something?
To my simplistic brain. calling the EGM and announcing that Hood & Co would be voted off, must have killed any pre-EGM investment stone dead. I mean, why would anyone put a large sum of money into a club which may be in administration in a couple of weeks?
The only alternative possibility would be Hood attending teh EGM and presenting his investor and his plan, and persuading the meeting to NOT vote him off.
Either way, leaving aside an unlikely deal between the factions, I find it impossible to see how anything could now happen pre-EGM. Can anyone explain a flaw in my logic?

Does Potter know about this?

Dead man walking indeed. As far as I can see, the high-profile interventions via the media of various people guaranteed that no-one would put money into a house divided. Those interventions killed any prospects dead, as far as I can see. One can only speculate as to whether that was their intention.
I guess this is what happens when you get a group of individuals who, collectively, seem unprepared to set differences aside and try and work together for the greater good of the club. I suspect history will damn the lot of them.
As for Hood, one of the saddest sights I have seen at Odsal for a while was him sat on the directors' row in the stand, with not a single other person on the whole row. He just seemed to be a total outcast -whether of his own volition or otherwise, I have no idea. All RL chairmens' careers seem to end in failure - Caisley's did, and Hood's clearly has. Guess we'll have to see how the next incumbent, be it Caisley redux or someone else, does.
And, a good few seats the other side of the pillar, Ken Davy (I never saw them talk) - epitomising why Huddersfield are where they are today, and the Bulls are where they are.

I'm with you Adey. I looked along the row from my end and saw Peter Hood sitting there all on his own, and I did feel a real sense of sadness for him. Even Andrew Bennett was sitting on the row behind with a couple of other people.
Who amongst actually knows what goes on behind the scenes - I certainly don't. But the inability of Hood and Bennett to sit around the table with Caisley, Coulby and Agar has led us to the current impasse. I'm sure that nobody in their right mind is now going to come along and put any money into the club, as even Hood accepts that he's on borrowed time.
Very sad

| no point in getting upset about this, great news i think. Caisley will not put the club in admistration yet. if we do raise the other 500k then he wont. hes just doing what hood would have done. im sure he wants to keep the likes of bateman and whitehead. I have heard that seabrooks crisps have put in a bid for sponsorship. We also all know about thomas cook, so lets look on the good side.

| Any chance of Caisley setting up a pre-pack takeover?

| As he is a fan of the team I hope Peter Hood is always welcome in the Directors seats.
Ultimately his tenure won't be well judged, and perhaps that's not all his fault (some strange decisions along the way though), I've always found him to be very pleasant to talk to, but ultimately and more importantly given his lack of personal wealth he's always seemed out of his depth?
I'm not entirely pessimistic about Caisley's return, but I would like to see a completely new set of faces. Tasker is a capable guy to conduct the business review and Nobby is a fan also don't forget, so he won't be in a rush to sell our crown jewels.
Come on people lets stay positive!

| I worry now for the club. Bringing Nobby in is the worst thing ever no other super league team wants him, we are performing well and Mick Potter has the guys working hard for him as a team why disrupt things!
Also, why they don't just act like the professional businessmen they are and work together to get the money the club needs and that none of them have is beyond me! We as fans have done our bit the way the shareholders are acting is disgusting after that especially some of the statements and actions of Caisley which could easily be disrupting potential investment especially an EGM.

Don't think I saw anyone getting upset? Still does not stop it being sad to see anyone's role with a club end in such a fashion, especially someone who has clearly put a lot of work into the job, regardless of the ultimate outcome.
If Caisley can deliver on much-needed new investment (in whatever form) and keeps the club out of administration, that is probably the best we can hope for as fans, right now, IMO. To the victor the spoils, although I wonder how he will deal with a disaffected minority amongst the shareholders, now it's his turn? I'd hate to see the same stasis that has paralysed the club for too long continue.
I guess its powder kept dry time until we see what transpires. Seems we are watching a transfer of power, accompanied not with a bang but with a whimper.

| Have I missed something? As far as im aware Caisley has only given ONE interview on the 5th April, in that interview he asked for Hood and Bennett to stand Down.
That now looks likely, but he's made no other public statement regarding Administration, he hasn't slighted anyone etc.
People are putting words in his mouth, let's not be too sad here, and let's not forget Peter Hood and Andrew Bennett have presided over a fiasco perhaps of their own making.
Let's all wait and see eh

The singular statement last week from Caisley that he had over 50% of the shareholders backing killed any investment into the current set-up stone dead.

| So if we are not going to raise the second £500k is it not wrong to throw the first £500k (raised incidentally by the only people that seem to have the best interest of the clubat heart i.e.the fans) down the drain?
