Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |
|
| I've just been phoned up by a nice lady at Odsal who was making sure I had received my letter and whether I would like to pledge. Unfortunately I confused her a little as I don't think she was ready for "almost certainly but not just yet " as an answer.

In fairness, they have already said that provided the pledge succeeds they have no intention of doing so nor should they have any need to do so.
That accords with what several of us have heard privately too.
With a Bullbuilder hat on, I could not support a plan that divested us of the very reason for us working hard to do what we are doing. The fact that Bullbuilder baord has come out unanimously urging people to back the pledge - and after a lot of soul-searching and consideration - might give you some comfort?

Have you considered that if you don't chip in then they might have to sell off our promising young players?

| Quote: Adeybull "That is my position too.
I have not pledged yet. I decided yesterday that I WILL (and I will), but will decide on the amount after seeing the extent to which some of the unanswered questions are addressed.'"
I think that unless the club reach the £300k mark by this weekend its very unlikely that they'll reach the target. Most of those that are definitely going to pledge will have done so. I dont think that there will be that many of us that are still undecided.
I'm still about 50:50. It seems to me that club are saying: "We need £500k by next week, followed by another £500k soon after. Sign here."
Peversely, if it looks like the club will not meet its target I'll probably pledge. A healthy pledge total, even if less than £500k, might help when it comes to attracting buyers following Administation.
I wonder what would happen if the pledge total finishes up at say £400k.

That'll do for me, Adey. Thanks.

| I've not done it yet, mainly because I'm waiting until the 6th where I'll pledge whatever remains in my bank account.

| I have said I will pledge £100, got some money left over from christmas so am gonna attend the auction on Thursday so will probably throw another £100 into the kitty. I really dont know what more we are expected to do as fans ok season tickets costs next to nothing but 2 shirts at £45 each, a club hoody £45, all adds up, then all away games to follow. Really dont wanna sound too pessimistic but after all the lies we have been told how do we know how much we have really raised, we were told we had 10,000 season ticket holders when we only have 7,000
Pleased dont be put off pledging on what I am saying but I dont trust Hood as far as I can throw Solamona

I know that was in an article the other day but has that been backed up anywhere else? Not having a go at you, just seems to be a statement in the article with nothing to back it up.

| 155k in 3 days - This is really bringing the best out of the city!!
I would like to think we may have a boom over the weekend - more people will be out with their money raising ideas.
If we reach the desired total, this would be a massive achievement!!

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Quote: COYB "That is fantastic news. I know that there are London fans out there who aren't sympathetic after the 2005 vote, but I can assure you that I am not one of them.
Rugby League without the Bulls, hell Bradford without the Bulls would be a much sadder place.
I wish the club and the fans all the best for what will be a very promising future.'"
To be fair, most London fans can make the distinction between club decisions and those affecting supporters, while the 2005 vote by the Bulls board could have had a damaging affect on us as supporters, we kinda understand it wasn't of the supporters doing. We have been on the brink many times past of thinking we would lose our club, and while some other clubs supporters may welcome that, in my experience the majority of Bulls supporters I have met or read posts from, have been supportive of whatever efforts we can muster, and those thoughts are pretty much replicated by our supporters to yours at this time.
Best wishes for the future and great effort in supporting your club.

| I believe that everyone has every right to do exactly what they wish with their cash and I wouldn't presume to tell anyone what to do, but I think it's fair to point out that if you want the club to be here in a few weeks time, taking a long term view, or keeping powder dry, isn't really an option; if the short term target isn't met, there [iwon't be a long term[/i.

| What does anyone think will happen if you meet the target in regards to the board. Will they carry on as normal or will they look for a buyer who can take the club further. If so will they sell the club or just step aside. If they sell the club surely what they earn off it should go back to the people who pledged or back into the club?
There are a lot of uncertainties surrounding fans bailing the club out and as Adeybull says some questions need to be answered.
