Does say that Bulls will be due compensation as per RFL rules, so at least we get some brass for him I suppose. Would still rather have kept him though, but like Mat said, you put a value on someone and if they want more than that, let them go. A good approach to take I would agree.

It's something to do with being under a certain age and us offering him a contract on at least the same terms. If that's the case and they choose to go elsewhere, you have to be compensated. To avoid clubs just stealing all the best young talent. Same rules in football.
Someone else probably knows specifics, but it's something along those lines. |

He's playing in Australia for Belrose Eagles in the Manly comp. He's a mate of mine, I went over recently and went to the third state of origin match with him, followed by an almighty pi**up!! |

Totally agree. Not to mention the negligible wage he will have been on. Sure, there will be a backline pecking order, but then in his cameos, as you elude to, he pushed through pretty well.
