Jeferies is an average player, nothing special, whereas he may not be on much, hes an overseas player, do we look to the here and now or the future?
Whereas the reserve players may not be ready yet, when are they? If we resign jefferies its just another yr that they aint gonna get any game time, then another, then another, some reserve players are already wishing they didnt resign and was elsewhere, you gott athrow them in eventually.
When did wigan think that tomkins was ready, or ainscough, when did leeds think mcguire, hall kirke etc was ready, when did cas think westerman, shenton owen etc were ready, they same age as some of our reserves, if they aint gonna get any game time they may never be ready.

And who's going to replace Jeffries from the reserves? Before you say Sykes, he can do a job there but he is far better in the centres.

Colton wray, could step up, not all time, but with him, sykes and rinaldi it can be covered, crookes can cover centre if sykes at s/o, langley can go to hooker to give godwin a breather if rinaldi at s/o. Halley can jump into dummy half from wing etc.

A few weeks ago is was all doom and gloom for good reason but seen as we have now won back to back games while played our best rugby of the year it seems like a pointless time to start talking about next year and who will be leaving.

If Lynch wants to go let him. He is still a great player for us but he turns the wrong side of 30 this year and I know we have high hopes for Crossley.

I though Tadulala was brilliant on Saturday. Looked good when ever he touched the ball.

Jefferies has really turned the corner this year and if he can keep it up will get a new contract.

Same with Newton and Cook.

As for Menzies and Morrison getting such long deals the guy is dreaming.

I think Menzies is looking at 1 yr to finish off and Morro with 2 yr to finish off.

Oh looking back can see where u miss understood it..it meant overseas players ie nero 1, menzies 2, morro 3, rinaldi 4, not length of deals, how many overseas we have.
