It worries you that we might beat Leeds? Odd.

Thats our reserve squad for 2005. Worrying thing is that it looks nearly as strong as our first team at the moment.
BTW, where's Saxton at now? '" No where he stopped playing due to a chronic back problem.

Goodbye all. It was nice knowing most of you.: |
|
| I'm a Cas fan and I saw the game on the box this afternoon as a neutral.
When Bradford went over for the try at the start of the second half, I was struck by how easy you'd made it look. The team were making good yards, there was almost an expectation that you'd break the defence and score. You played some good rugby - and were far too good for the opposition. In some cases they seemed disorganised and half-asleep, but you played well.
Yet as soon as Cats got the first try and started playing with a bit more passion, it seemed that Bradford were hanging back and had just completely lost their confidence. You seemed to become slower art the ruck and as the Cats got themselves further into the game it looked like your guys began to panic, as demonstrated by Platt's "rush of blood" offload.
I'd say this afternoon's second-half display was similar to some of the capitulations we suffered last season (Quins in the Cup on TV is a prime example if anyone saw that.) You've got quality players with skill and a decent coach. The problem seems to be that they don't believe that they can hold out the game, and get panicky and disorganised when the pressure's on.
TBH I hope it gets better for you soon. you were always my favourite of the old "Big 4 of SL"

Never mentioned anything about beating Leeds. It would be great if we did but not if we then go back to playing the same old crap week in week out. Or don't you care how bad we play just so long as we beat Leeds each season.

| I'm sorry but that was a shocking second half performance, you just let them offload throughout the second half and fell away from tackles. McBanana needs to go if you are to make the play-offs.

Pretty spot-on, I'd say although most on here would probably not agree aboit the coach now. And you saw the same last week down the Lane, when we did just the same eh? We've seen it every week...
Thanks for closing comment.

Don't be sorry - it was. But still keep wondering what position Macca must have been playing to have missed all those tackles...?
Even so, something is clearly not right in the players' heads right now, and I guess it has to be on the coach's shoulders to sort it - and bloody quick.

I missed all of first half and sat down to watch the 2nd half. I was in a very good mood.
I just can't believe it. Just p**sed off now.
Worst thing is you could see it coming. Not looking forward to Friday at all.
I'd like to hear what Mcnarama has to say but it will be the same old garbage.
Would be nice to actually hold a lead.. How much do we need to be infront by?'"

Care to share with us why the statements you profess to be "Fact" are indeed fact, not merely opinion?

| Quote: Bully_Boxer "Indeed. Sykes is also prone to the odd brain fart too. I would keep Platt at FB because he did ok today and has looked good in the last few games. If we dropped a player after every big mistake we'd never have the same side each week!
One player who surely does need a rest is Deacon, he is adding very little to the side right now. His passing is poor, his general play kicking has been poor even his goal kicking has been inconsistent. But far more worryingly is the ease in which the opposition are running through him. His missed tackles have led directly to 4 tries that I can think of in the last two games. I'd promote Halley to the starting line up too to face Leeds.'"
i agree with what your saying about deacon he does need a rest his defence recently has been tragic, but who ould you replace him with cant really think of anyone, would you promote a youngster? personally i would like to see a number of youngsters promoted, they cannot do any worse than the current rabble.

As I mentioned earlier, I'd move Menzies to 6 and put Jeffries at 7. However I stated that we'd probably need Solomona back if we were to switch a player from the back row.
