Well, a slight tangent to the lease, but with our most recent new director, I thought I would list our shareholders as per the most recent Companies House filing. 1333 total shares. Any decent money in these people?

Interestingly, for those that are using Nigel Wood’s ownership of the club as a reason to stay away, he personally owns less than 10% although his family in total has about 30%

I'd say Wendy to half of Nigel's share in the divorce...so probably not my his own design is he that much of a minority shareholder.

I didn't realise Mark Sawyer still has that much of an interest in us still. Huge respect for the bloke for stepping in and helping us out, but on a long term basis you wouldn't think a chair of one club should be the single biggest shareholder in another surely.

Potential conflict of interests but that's Rugby League for you.

Considering Dewsbury's up and down fortunes you'd think their fans would be kicking up a stink about it.

Though as you say, huge respect for him helping us out.

He’s comfortably under 25% which seems be the “conflict” level.

But it does beg the question, why is he still a shareholder when most people would run a mile?

According to MG it will be announced who has got the lease in early July, I think he said 4th July.

I believe he said July 5th, i.e. the day after the General Election.

Whether that is relevant in any way or simply a co-incidence, I guess we will see...

Just been reading an article in the T&A https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/ ... gue-close/ about the odsal lease and any decision on who gets the lease now looks to be delayed, "until late summer". Does anyone know when the next IMG scoring is carried out? It looks like the club are ready to invest in the stadium to up our score, but will they have time with this decision being oushed back?

Wonder what the reason is for the delay? The RFL have a difficult decision to make (situation is their own making) but need to act rather than kick the can down the road.
