Discipline didnt improve making it so much harder than it needed to be. Dreadful 2nd half.

Good win that. Always a tough ask to go up to Cumbria and win. However a loss would have been a missed opportunity as well considering Whitehaven’s injuries.

Boys got the job done. Another win. Could have been a few more if England had have caught that pass for a stroll in.

We switched off in the last 10 minutes which was a concern and let Whitehaven score which flattered them. We looked the superior team all game with our forwards laying the platform for Brough, Lilley and Pick to exploit the Haven defence.

Always great to get the win away in Cumbria.

same would have taken that .... haven seem to have had a lot more possession overall and with the 2 late scores (we could have done without) feels like a defeat. points%diff is always gonna be about keeping the opp score down

I thought it was a bloody awful boring game. Full of mistakes and ill discipline. We dont seem to able to number up and slide on our right side. Brown is ok running with the ball but his defence is dire. Its a win though and Scurr and Crossley were tremendous. Big future ahead for Ebon as he can only get better.

Agree scurr looks a player. Will be happy if we hang on to him and not the usual make a name and move on..

I listened on the Beeb and it was a feed from BBC Cumbria. Inevitably a bit biased to the home team, but the commentator and the summariser (who was the Barrow coach) were super-impressed by Ebon Scurr

I'll be amazed if Scurr stays. If he gets a SL offer he'll be gone and you wouldn't blame him.

Failed again to play for the full 80 minutes. We are still lacking fitness in key areas. Hopefully that is something that can be worked on and we can keep moving forward

From what I've seen so far, he's far too raw for a SL side to be taking a chance on him just yet.

Sadly so, although you would think another couple of seasons in our setup would also serve him well. We can hope!

Always amuses me that "the long drive to cumbria". The players have a lovely 2 and half hour sit on a bus. I drive it regularly, its no biggy..

Well I am reasonably confident no bus does that journey in 2.5 hours, either way it is usually a tricky away fixture for various reasons so I think the team will be satisfied with that result.
