Doubt it, courts very rarely get involved in running of sports
/leagues.

I also wonder if that would make a, sadly, common or garden, regular Bradford admin club sale more palatable to the RFL given that any challenge based on being told you must start at the bottom would utterly fr1g the fixture list for the year if successful? (If it was possible to actually conclude such a challenge before the season begins)
However, playing devils advocate, let's say the RFL rejects the bid and BBNH is liquidated, and an L1 club did launch a legal challenge and was successful, would there then be a counter challenge to stop any reasonably strong Bradford side being dropped into L1 in 2017 thereby perhaps causing any plans for promotion being seriously affected given the assumption of a reasonable strength Bradford team and a definitely strong Toronto team?
You're earning your considerable amount of corn Nige...'"
The point of this whole new bid or altered failed bid from earlier in the week, is we haven't been liquidated yet as the paperwork hasn't gone in, the POTENTIAL new owner has agreed terms with the admin top pay more of the debt.
This is only as I understand it, but there is no need to dock us the extra 6 points and the special "hammering" the RFL had in store for us entering administration.
A legal challenge by any lower tier club would be unfounded.

| I genuinely couldn't see any lower league club putting in a legal challenge anyway.
All but 1 would have been worse off. As I've said previously they've all prepared squads to mount a charge on Championship 1 promotion. Built around a budget for those needs. Their aim is to win promotion with that squad and be in the Championship in 2018. If they were thrown in there now, they would be 99% guaranteed to be in Championship 1 in 2018 due to inevitable relegation after getting whipped every week. So while it may bring them some better gates this year, it means that long term, they are in a worse place.
The only exception is Toronto. I'm sure they'd love to be in the Championship this season with their squad. However the month's notice they'd have to do it in creates a total logistical nightmare because of their location. Because of them arranging travel and accomodation for both themselves and visiting clubs. Because of making sure their fixture lists are "4 home, 4 away". It just couldn't all be rearranged easily on such short notice.
So why would any team have an argument that they would have been better off in the Championship this year at a month's notice? Quite clear none of them would.

He's been hiding in the bogs since yesterday evening so they can't deny him entry today.

I appreciate many on here may also be members of the total rl forum so have probably already seen this, but for those who haven't, here is a snippet of the actual RFL rules that was posted on Total RL thread yesterday....
Quote: Scarey71 "4.7 In the event of a member ceasing to be a member upon notice from the Company by virtue of Acquisition, Change of Control or Insolvency Event, the Board, at its absolute discretion, shall have the right to readmit the member or admit a new member as a member on any terms as it sees fit, which for the avoidance of doubt, may include financial, administrative and/or sporting sanctions. In the event of membership continuing the Board may determine that membership shall be deemed to continue to subsist as if the member had not ceased to be a member at all. The Board will from time to time set out policy for the exercise of its discretion but is not bound by such policy or precedent decided under such policy or previous policy and the Board shall be entitled to amend any policy with immediate effect.
4.8 The Board has the right (but not obligation) to stipulate in advance of an Acquisition. Change of Control or Insolvency Event, whether or not a member will be readmitted or a new member admitted in such circumstances and to stipulate what terms it will apply.'"
In other words, there is no rule specifically stating that new clubs MUST start at the bottom - it is entirely at the RFLs discretion where they place any club and under what terms. So there would be no grounds for any C1 team to launch any kind of legal challenge

| Interview with Thorne
David Thorne, the former CEO and owner of the rugby union side Wasps, is one of the parties interested in re-forming Bradford Bulls following the club’s liquidation this week.
Thorne officially registered a company called Bradford Bulls Capital Limited with Companies House on Wednesday, before meeting the remaining members of playing staff at the club’s Odsal stadium.
That meeting was not sanctioned or attended by anyone involved with the Rugby Football League, and while the New Zealand-born businessman told the Guardian that the meeting was not held to undermine the RFL’s bidding process for the club – the deadline for expressions of interest in forming a new club is Monday – he believes the former Super League champions and World Club Challenge winners are an “iconic brand” worth rescuing.

“In no way do we want to be seen to be trying to usurp the RFL’s process, this was an innocent and perhaps naive meeting and maybe we should have waited,” he said. “But as an interested party I thought it was important to speak to the players and staff from a humanitarian perspective in person, because they’re all in limbo not knowing what is going on.
“I’ve been through this process with Wasps before so I know what it’s all about, and I see Bradford Bulls as an iconic brand within sport. If there’s something we can bring to the table and help remedy the situation then we feel we can contribute: but of course, it’s down to the RFL to decide.”
Thorne previously worked with the current Wasps owner Derek Richardson during his time with the rugby union side, but the Guardian understands that neither Richardson nor anyone currently involved with Wasps is part of Thorne’s bid to assume control at Bradford.

Despite registering his interest with the RFL in the last 48 hours, Thorne admitted he is yet to finalise the details of his bid to the governing body. “We have a clear plan which we will submit to the RFL in due course,” he said. “They will make their own determination based on what everyone brings to the table but having registered the company with Companies House, it’s clear we’re putting things in place in case we’re given the go-ahead.”
The RFL is understood to be keen on receiving long-term financial plans for the new club from any prospective bidder following the Bulls’ third administration in four years, which culminated in liquidation on Tuesday. So far, five of the club’s former players have agreed deals with other clubs before a possible reformation of the club in time for the start of the new Championship season next month.

| Can't really be bothered going back through the thread to find it, but wasn't it mentioned that Richardson was at the meeting yesterday? Or am I remembering wrong in the haze?

It was mentioned. But there's a fair bit of 'fog of war' going on at the moment.
