We wouldn't be getting the crowds we are now it we'd stayed at Dewsbury. This is all about short term making ends meet and if the sport looks tinpot then the RFL aren't bothered, it's nothing new.

I don't think there was any chance of getting Golding back anyway now he has proved his fitness.

I'd imagine there's a good chance the HB we had 90% done is from KR, with their covid outbreak (and even chance the player we had lined up has covid himself) scuppered those plans. Still hasn't stopped some numpties accusing Kear of lying to us.

Looking at the squad, looks like Kear sticking with Pickersgill at 6 and Brown at 1 which hasn't worked in any of the games we've gone with that combination. DFJ fortunate to retain his place as I thought he was very poor against Fev.

Big game this. Widnes have been in good form. Think we should win this with our pack hopefully. Think this and the Batley game next week will be pivotal where we finish.

REading article in T&A seems like Kear thinks Pickersgill at 6 and Brown at FB is our strongest lineup. Not sure I agree with that as it weakens us at wing and FB at same time. Surely worth giving Race or Jowett a go at 6 and keeping other players in their strongest positions. Pickers at 6 just doesn't work. If Kear isn't prepared to give youngsters a chance what's the point in them being in first team squad?

Totally agree. We are weakened in the halves regardless of who replaces Brough. Why would you weaken both full back and wing positions to try cover for it when there is no need.

Let one of the young lads have a go at half back then you only have 1 weakend position as opposed to 3.

Well thats my logical 2 penneth anyway.
