Quote MicktheGled="MicktheGled"It’s worth noting that a new stadium development nearly came off last year between BMDC, BB and the RFL only for Andrew Chalmers to fail to produce the required money at the eleventh hour.

Mick is 60% right. Being part of a 'Council' team we knew about this some time ago, as of course did the then emerging 'nestegg'. In fact, all the relevant paperwork in that regard is held on file by the nestegg team, and their lawyers.
The truth is that Chalmers, likely with Wood pulling most, if not all, of the strings, was in effect granted an option to purchase the Odsal head lease from the RFL. For legal reasons 'nestegg' will not allow us to say too much on this forum in this regard but we can presently say the following:
a) AC had the option to purchase the head lease for a principal sum of circa £750K. The actual £ sum is redacted on the lease purchase option document version we have, but we, being part of a 'Council' know that the principal sum was circa £750K, give or take.
b) That is at first sight a loss on the head lease of approx £500K for the RFL when compared to the lease purchase price they paid Hood in late 2011. However, there is a twist in the tail ... isn't there Nigel ... and Ralph? We presently cannot say anymore in this regard, and yes, you guessed it, for legal reasons.
c) Chalmers went to Trump land to find somebody to help him take up the option to buy the lease. But when such US based folk realised that AC did not have 'a pot to pi_s in' then they told AC - and allegedly by default, Chalmers' puppet master, Wood - to sling their hook. That was to all intents and purposes game over, and not too long thereafter AC packed his bags and went, apparently 'tail between his legs', back to NZ. Chalmers had in effect allegedly let down Nigel etc as AC purportedly did not complete the simple and sole task he was put in to do in early 2017 at the Bulls (with signinicant £ loan support from the RFL) by Nigel, Rimmer and the rest of the allegedly nefarious hierarchy at Red Hall.
Becki knows that BMDC were in on this allegedly underhand and seemingly murky plot which we can, if need be, argue was on balance definitely NOT in the best interests of Bradford Council's Tax payers, or the Bulls. Shame on the elected BMDC portfolio holders some might say.
Things are now starting to somewhat unravel and we sense, increasingly, that the alleged 'rattlesnakes' may now be starting to bite each other.
BY THE WAY, THE BMDC ANNOUNCEMENT RE ODSAL STADIUM etc MAY BE RELEASED TODAY OR IN THE NEAR FUTURE, WELL AT LEAST SO WE HEAR C/O PERSONS CLOSE TO TWO OF BECKI'S BMDC ACQUAINTANCES.
Keep watching.
[ip.s. Thank you for all the kind words, Dr Feelybad. I hope that Nigel et al are looking after you. [/i.
