I would assume Kear would stick with players he has worked with to begin with - he knows what they can bring. So that would be initially, Welsh players, fringe Wakefield players or current/ex Batley players.

I think we need to trust Kear to bring in players as and when the right players become available.

Unlike Toovey, who obviously didn't have a clue about the league we were playing in, our new coach is very well qualified and knows the scene very well. I wouldn't be too concerned whether we have new players on board for the first couple of friendlies - I'm sure he'll get players in before the start of the actual season.
