Nothing is going to change. The Sky deal ends at the end of 2020 season. Increasing the numbers of Champ clubs from 12 to 14 will mean everyone gets a central funding reduction, unless the SL clubs vote to transfer more money






But, I'm sure from 2021 franchising will be back on the table, and you could name the 14 clubs now that would get into SL then....

I think the idea is that 13th and 14th would get the same funding as if they were 1st and 2nd in champ 1. So no extra money required.

So according to that, nothing is changing this year. 2 teams will be relegated from the Championship.

Until its 'evaluated' by RFL board at end of season and clubs are told whats going to happen. nice little get out clause that.

I think RFL will make sure they get result they want, irrespective of what happens on the field. If our last couple of admins are proof of anything, its rfl inability not to manipulate events to get their desired result.
