Quote Scarey71="Scarey71"Not really.
It would require huge sums from them to make the club successful and so attractive enough to attract further investment. '"
"Attract further investment"? this is just accountant-speak, in reality no rugby league club is ever going to attract "investors", now is it?
Quote Scarey71="Scarey71"And by other revenue streams I don't necessarily mean getting others to put their money in but rather looking at how the club itself can generate further revenue alongside the traditional ticket sales, merch etc.'"
Meh. More utterly meaningless accountant-speak. You seem to base this on some notion that if we would only look, we might find an "income stream" which would pour an annual £1 million or whatever in, that nobody has previously thought of. This is delusional.
But, let's run with it: you are effectively suggesting
1. Find a way to make loads of money, that is not the usual rugby-linked sales/tickets/merchandise/hospitality - i.e. find or set up and run a completely different business, that is very profitable
2. Run that business, but instead of taking the profits, spend them all on rugby.
I think I have figured out why this doesn't ever happen.
