Agree, Rohan had come in and brought some quality in key positions thats we've been lacking in all year
Think he's been unlucky with some of the injuries he's had (Gaskell, Purtell, Ferguson, Clark, Clough) throw in the players attitude for Dewsbury and Fax and it's a case of what might have been.

IF we do make it, I fully agree we've a great shot of being in that MPG with all the key players returning.

Just hoping Batley or Fax slip up. If both win this weekend then it's all over.

The thing is, I don't think either Leigh or London's coaching staff have Lowes "certain games don't matter" attitude so I wouldn't expect too much of a let up in their intensity going towards the end of the regular season

Think Jamie Soward could have a big effect. Has the ability to win games on his own (particularly at this level) will lift all the London players as well.

Seriously though, I don't even expect Leigh to go up, the very best any Championship Club in the MPG can hope for is a dysfunctional SL team playing poorly while the Championship team plays well above itself, only then is there a glimmer of hope.

& should Leigh win the MPG ....

Of course, if by some miracle we DID make the 8s, nothing would better prove that the comp is a total and utter shambles.

Because we would have fixtures, including a possible MPG, in theory, against Huddersfield. Even a saint with blind belief in the perfection of human nature would know that we COULD NOT now play Gaskell, Ferguson or Clough in any of those fixtures. I mean, can you image how conflicted those players would be if in the MPG they could consign their new employers, and themselves, to the Championship?

Could a threatened SL club indeed deliberately go on a buying mission to Championship rivals, to spike the opposition in Championship games? Certainly, clubs and their owners have got up to much worse to try to ensure SL status, and this, unlike the other shenanigans would of course be 100% legal.

Total joke. Luckily for the RFL, it almost certainly won't happen THIS year with us, but that doesn't change the truth of the point.
