When you consider all that, it doesn't make signing a second rower on a month's loan quite as crazy as everyone's first reaction of "not another second rower!"'"
Agreed. My reaction was when I saw it "not another SR" but then I thought Ferguson and Addy were injured, unsure when either will be back. Clark could also be out. Plus we've just finished a second Easter. An extra body in the forwards won't do any harm.

Comparing apples with pears too - my memory isn't great but I'm pretty sure Fielden and Vagana were front rowers

You lucky so-and-sos - we only get one Easter, this side of the Hill. Did you get more Easter eggs?

| Am I right in thinking you have to have played 8 games before qualifiers start?

That's ok. I think we've only actually [iplayed[/i a couple of games so far this season. The rest we kind of just went through the motions. A bit.

nope that only applies to dual reg players. and that was reduced to 3-4 games this yr rather than 8. Normal loans and permanent signings are allowed to play in qualifiers provided they sign before the 24th of july, not 100% sure of date but its basically that weekend.

Haven't they also changed the dual reg rules with regards to Middle 8s this year?
Last year they had to declare before they started which team they were playing for, and that was that. They couldn't play for the other team for the duration.
I believe they were talking about scrapping that this year, but not sure if it went through.

yes they have changed it but with a caveat. A dual reg player has to have played at least 3 games for the dual reg club to be eligble to play for them in the qualifiers, BUT if he has played eight games for the dual reg club then he can feature for both them and his parent club. in other words if he's played between 3 and 7 games for dual reg club then he rules as are last year and he has to stick to one club for duration of qualifiers but if hes go eight games in then he can switch back and forth between dual reg and parent club just like in regular season. Can't think of any players that latter case would apply to of top of my head.

Jordan Baldwinson will have done for Fev. Probably a couple of the Widnes boys up in Cumbria too (Chamberlain & Chapelhow)
