Last years 3 from Mackay weren't also expected to be first choice in their position, let alone arguably the most important position in the team in terms of getting them around the field. Last years 3 were a gamble we could afford to take in the hope of uncovering a gem, if he is to be our only scrum half then he needs to be proven IMO
