Best ask Jimmy on that one. Clare had a poor game against Widnes [along with everyone else] why he was the sacrificial lamb and why Mendeika replaced him is something only he can answer. |

From what I've seen Mendieka is the better prospect but both could benefit from time with a good backs coach. I suspect Shaw will progress further if Rovers have the necessary coaching facility.

Agree with your comments. Ryan is still young and many good players dont mature until their mid twenties. Admitted this lack of an open age Reserve Grade has caused many problems with holding on to players, but hopefully this may be resolved by some of the top SL Clubs, who have recognised this failing and want to set the future on a better footing |

I don't think KR would pay him anywhere near £70k. I guess he is on no more than £30k with us having 32 players all under £900k He is unproven but promising. I agree about Clare being the better one to keep. On paper we have Mullaney, Clare and Mendieka at full back so can let him go. It would be a shame though but money will do the talking again this off season.

Ryan is out of contract at the end of the season, no fee will be paid to the Bulls - he'll just leave. |

Clare was one of the main reasons we beat Salford. He's better than Shaw IMO

Clare's a good winger so keep him there. Good teams have a specialist fullback not a winger or centre filling in when needed.
