Gale just won goldthorpe medal too. Sometimes a player just doesn't fit in a team and needs a change to reach their potential.

Gale fitted in very well to our team. It wasn't his fault that most of the time his training consisted of having to do backward shuttle runs, being repeatedly hit by two punchbags while taking a pass, and kicking while being knocked into a backward somersault.

NO scrum half can shine behind a constantly mullered pack that is giving away ground all day long. I am not saying Gale is the world's best, but he always had class, maybe not absolutely top class, but he was always more than good enough for us. We let him down, not the other way round.

I don't see any changes to Gale's game. His style is instantly recognizable from when he was with us. He just gets the ball in some space much more, and going forward.

Exactly FA. Gale was playing behind a well beaten pack when he was with us apart from the ill fated 2012 season when we finished 7th before the points deduction.

I actually thought 2014 was comfortably his best season despite what was happening. Perhaps because there was nobody else left, he seemed to mature and take as much responsibility as could possibly be expected in the circumstances. In 2012 he was hit and miss and in 2013 he was either injured, fed up or both.

Does the same apply to all those who said don't sign Sammutt, he has too many quiet games. Was this to do with the fact he was playing behind a beaten pack?

We have Gaskell and Mullaney. If we had Gale (or GOB come to that) there would be no place for Sammutt.

The issue is there's been long periods of the season and most of the middle 8's where we haven't had any of them. GOB??

Anyone who saw him score 25 tries in 2013 will tell you he's grade or four above Purtell and Siejka.

Presumably he has been signed so that we can send him out on loan and then release him three quarters of the way through the season.

lets hope we have managed to secure GOB for next year hopefully not in a deal with Gaskell going the other way.

I wonder if that has been put to the Bulls yet, but if Warrington are releasing GOB they shouldn't have a say on where he's going. Let's hope that swap deal isn't on the agenda

Wolves signed/retained Sandow, Gidley, Ratchford, Wheeler and the youngster Patton. Where would Gaskell feature amongst that group?
