| The standard in the amateur is the lowest ive seen in years those that look good at bowling now only do so because the others are poor. The basics are just basic one player thinks hes miles better than the rest and tries to do things that he can only do in his heaf. Leeds have got the best 2 from drig the bulls the next best. Thees a fb and scum half at batley u13s who are immense. The fb knows exactly when to hit the line knows exactly where and when the scrum halfs gonna kick the ball.. we need to look at these 2 as soon as we can cos they incredible.

| Shaw Cross have the best halfback partnership in the country at Under 13's (Not my words, but those of the bloke who has been in charge of youth development at Wigan for an age!) . Wigan are all over them, as are Wakey. The Bulls would be mad not to keep an eye on them.

| The two lads at shaw cross are good players but imo the team has suffered over the past couple of years has everything went through them has a result they have been found wanting and have been passed by plenty of half backs in that age group.

| What happened to The Bulls Connection? During the late 90s I attended several coaching workshops at Odsal, these were run by Bernard Dwyer and Paul Medley. I travelled from Hull and there were coaches from amateur clubs all over the country.

Keighley ARLFC play at Rose Cottage in Utley. They are in the Premier Division of the Pennine League. The head coach is Keith Dixon, the former Keighley Cougars player. Home matches are Saturdays ko 2:30.

Sadly the Bulls Connection came to grief when the Bulls stopped funding the Community side of things and this was passed over to the Bulls Foundation, which then had to fund posts from grants and donations from companies, philanthropists etc. No criticism of the Foundation at all but funding is often directed into certain areas and it becomes harder to do all of the work done by the Bulls Connection. The Foundation does provide coaching support over a wide area and has continued to help amateur clubs in many ways. If you would like help from the Foundation or could offer a source of funding, please contact Gareth Cook, Foundation Manager, via the club.

| Slightly OT but does anybody think that their is a correlation between a drop off in the bulls support and lack of clubs for kids to play for in Bradford - especially to the north of the city where RU is a stronghold for kids rugby (Ilkley, Baildon, Otley, Salem, B&B, Keighley, etc...)
I know a few families whose kids used to support the bulls from the north of the city who gave up watching when the kids started playing football as their wasn't a local RL team to play for. I know Keighley Albion exists now but that has only been going a few years.
Compare with Leeds who have clubs all over the city and when you talk to their younger supporters, most are playing at a junior club.
