I used to go in the Bottomleys a lot, a few years back, never been in the DOY. May want to redress that at some point...

I’m not conversant with the members on here, or their reputations, but i’m curious on two points. How does being circa four miles up the road prevent you from coming on here? I know the pub trade can be 24/7, but I could still find time for daily surfing.

Secondly, i’ve been attempting to find a pub management job since I arrived back from working abroad, yet with twenty years experience in the trade, can’t find one. It’s been a big surprise to me, even in this economic climate. I remember when the DOY was on the market for 160K, just a few years ago- leasehold, but times have changed. im gonna be too busy to come on here for a bit,will have 101 things to do every day but only enough time to get 98 of them done

when not behind the bar, we have 4 letting rooms i have to get painted and ready to let,amongst plenty of other things, so reckon our lass will be letting me know i have better things to do than been on here
