Its not aimed at the first team..rfl wants fringe first teamers/the best u20s to play..the stars of the future.
Alot of people dont know anything about their young and upciming players but rfl are hoping that fans get behind this idea and support it..seeing youre rarely seen future halfback ripping it up and getting excited about what they may see in the future.

BBQs etc could be put on..bouncy castles for kids, fire eaters, stilt walkers etc.
This is the type of festival bulls should be aiming to put a mark on, the stadium is screaming out for summat like this..give an evening back for the kids and get the old girl bouncing again.

That game was fantastic entertainment. I also thought the Headingley 9's was when Platt really got his confidence back. He was probably our best player the whole day and unlucky to not be picked as player of the tournament (Ainscough got it I think).

Sounds like a good event and an excuse for us to blood some of our academy players. Didn't we go quite far in this competition last year?

Yes the final, we lost to Wigan by not much I think. It was a great day, also a good time to let kids and junior teams get a chance to play on a big stage

Hopefully should be able to at least make the Odsal leg.

9's = Ridiculous concept.

The players and sport need less games of greater quality with it's prime athletes to be treated with due respect rather than the RFL's continual misjudgements as to what benefits or adversley affects them.

The 9's is indicative of our governing bodies continuing poor assessment of what will work, will sell or has value.
