| I never rated him.
Sad to see him go. Hoping the replacement is (a) as good (b) as committed to the club. Don't let us down Mr Potter!

| sad news, not at bradford a great deal of years but will be remembered very fondly. a class act and a shame more of his colleagues couldn't raise themselves to his standards.

| I do hope he's being freed up to offer a top Aussie 3 or 6 a longer term deal.
Can see the reasoning why he has been released, but you can't help but feel disappointed.
He has been a shining light of these last two seasons.

| Disappointing. Our best player and looks like he could go again.
But as I said a few weeks back, given the rebuilding job we need to do in the backs it might be a required sacrifice. If Potter sees Menzies as only a back row forward we are well covered there. If his cap space/quota spot is used wisely in the backs/halves then I can see the logic. If we replace Menzies with another Hall type player then I'll be disappointed.
I'll wait and see the full rebuilding plan in context I reckon before passing final judgement on this.

| This is a absolute disgrace by who ever made this decision. Menzies has played his heart out ever since he signed for us and is a real fans favourite. Anyone in superleague would have menzies in there team regardless of his age. The guy still has the quality. Im so gutted about this and defo thought he deserved a new contract. And i know that this news wont go down with bulls fans as he really has been a stand out player for us since he tried. The fact he wanted to do another year and was refused really does make you think the bulls have made yet another massive mistake. Shame on you who ever made this decision

I agree with both those comments, he's been a true professional and given 110% every time he pulled on a Bulls shirt, he's almost single handedly carried the Bulls during his time here.

| I have full faith in Mick Potter until he gives me reasons not to have. Farewell Beaver. Thanks for putting in 100% when so many around you seemed to be doing otherwise.

| Gutted but may be a head over heart decision. Adios Beaver, hope he gets the reception he deserves at the Wakey game.

Suggest you keep your powder dry until you see who we sign for next season?
What, for instance, would be your stance if the club said they had been ready, willing and able to sign an Aussie international 6 or three-quarters, in their prime, for 3 years ( ) - but could not because they knew the fans wanted to keep the Beaver for another year?
Devil's advocate maybe, and I'm very disappointed to see him going - he exudes quality and class, and put the graft in when it was clear some others could not be d - but we do have a limited overseas quota and I'd prefer to hear the whole tale before knee-jerking?

What he said.
Who's next cab off the rank at the Storm? Sign any of their stars and Beaver will, sadly, be just a quickly fading memory. And yes, i am almost passing out from clutching these straws too tightly!

| It's a shame to see possibly our best player of the last 2 seasons leave us. But we have to be pragmatic on this score. He is going to be 37 next year and even Stanley Gene thinks that's getting on
He also takes a quota spot. This gives Potter room to bring in a proper 6 as IMO halves are where we are weakest.
However, I hope the club will be acknowledging we have had a living legend playing for us and give Steve Menzies the proper send off that he deserves.
