| Halley will never be a great FB, he is simply not big enough. Platt has all the necessary physical attributes, it's the mental side he needs to sort.

Halley is about the same size as Brent Webb and Halley's pace means that he consistently finds gaps on kick returns and marks more ground before the defensive gets up to him.
Platt isn't as bad as people make out and one day once he gets his head straight might be a decent player but at the moment he is behind Halley and I can't see that changing.

Webb has much more in attack, not necessarily direct pace. He does tend to have a better defence in front of him than Halley which disguises his own vulnerability in defence.

| Halley originally got put there because Platt had an absolute shocker, he played a brilliant game against Leeds and hasn't had too many errors since. Platt played well in centre, but I can't see him getting in again unless Halley gets really off form or if somebody is injured.

| Consensus of opinion seems to be to have Halley at FB (with which I agree at the moment).
However, where does this leave Platt?
Centre? Certainly at the moment PS & CN would be my first choice.
Wing? He certainly wouldn't get in ahead of Semi, maybe ahead of Rikki?
After signing him for three years, there must be some confidence in his ability to play somewhere.

| I hope somebody wants him in this off season and agrees to be released. Once Sheriffe's ball handling gets better he'll be good there, apart from that he's been doing ok.

Comes with experience of playing in that position. Knowing where to position yourself, running good lines and popping up at the right time in support. Halley will learn all this over time.

utility back? can play to a reasonalble standard at fullback and so a handy player to have in squad to cover injuries if not necessarily a first choice starter. gives us competition for places if nothing else.

I wouldn't say terrible. Holding up Moore, and has also made a couple of last ditch tackles.

Well, he's not too much worse than Platt and room for improvement. You can't fault his effort though, what about when he stopped Adrian Morley well into the Warrington thrashing.
