| Quote: Keiththered "Probably your best performance of the season so far. One of our worst from an attacking point of view although not helped by the conditions.
Demonstrated flaw in the system being able to import players that will not be available in the longer term. Helps in individual matches but cannot see how it helps you or others build a team to develop your club.
It should not be long before you points are in the black. Good luck for rest of the season'"
Unfortunately the sorry state of affairs our club was left in (squad decimated, still in liquidation 2 weeks before start of season) has meant that we've had little option this season but to use loan players. For whatever reason clubs weren't willing to grant us season long loans like Ellis and Abdull for you. But 4 loan players for us against 2 loan players for you isn't exactly a colossal difference.
For us this season is simply about the short term goal of avoiding relegation. If it takes loan players and dual reg to achieve that then so be it.

Fingers crossed Leeds Salford and Cas have an injury free bank holiday. If we could get the four Leeds lads for a longer period and get Murray and Larroyer back things would be looking very good.'"
We can't have all of them playing. You can only have 5 loan/dual reg guys in your 17 at any time.
If we're having to choose then I'd take Murray back over Larroyer but Beattie wasn't too confident that we'd see Murray again this season (even though Murray isn't making the Salford 19 anymore AND they've just signed a new prop).

| If Chisholm made such a difference why didn't we cough up the transfer fee Sheffield clearly wanted a month ago!

I'd definitely take Murray over Larroyer too. I haven't seen the two Widnes lads yet that played the last couple of weeks. Did they look decent?

| It could equally be asked why we didn't offer him a contract at the beginning of the year.

Probably because you haven't got any money I'm sure I read something about it in the off season

| Dewsbury result not all that important, we are 8 points from safety.
Fantastic performance on Saturday, perform like that with that intensity and we'll be close to safety. Starting on Sunday of course.

| Are Batley trying to screw with us? Dewsbury have won three games all season - all against Batley

Well, to be fair, you're assuming that Sheffleld were asking the same price then as now and we don't actually know if that is the case. Also, as pointed out above we've lost Leon from both the playing roster and wages list so, given his playing position and charismatic character, bringing Chissy on board is a direct, and imo, very necessary replacement if we have pretensions of making a fist of avoiding relegation.

| Just got back from the weekend, what a great match and the support was epic, Sundays support for the remaining matches was poor i'm sure there were more Bulls supporters on the Saturday night than the total support on Sunday.

| The only disappointment i felt after the game was the realisation that our owners failed to offer Dane a contract at the start of the season.
The guy was class! If we had him at the start of the season, i'm sure we would have significantly more points on the board!
Massive mistake from the owners!

| Maybe we had to hit rock bottom first but I didn’t see that performance coming. In stark contrast to the London game we muscled up and respected possession. Chisholm undoubtedly provided a lift. He has his faults but he’s got that bit of extra X factor that makes a difference in a tight game. I just hope that knock to his knees isn’t serious. Playing with a big pack certainly helped with Magrin in the backrow. I hope we continue to do that. When the rain came down I feared the worst as our handling in the rain has been poor this year but this time we were excellent. Something to build on certainly for the crunch match at the weekend at Dews.
