Labour council leader David Green was cabinet member for regeneration who waved through the scheme & funding. He also approved the unsecured £200k council tax payers cash loan to OK Bulls, owned by Omar Khan. Joshi, Greenwood & other Labour politicians/supporters on the board at the club.
Of course I've presented no facts at all & there must be an agenda!

That doesn't help at all. The general tone of the idiot who I blocked was that OK, GS and RW were all some sort of shysters, and muttering darkly about things which he would never dare spell out.
If the mudslinging is indeed meant to have its roots in Trident, then let's have a quick look at what is known.
A 33 year old man was arrested on suspicion of fraud. That man is known to be Zubare Khan, who had been assistant chief officer for 2 years but resigned in December 2011 shortly before the police announced their investigation.
The figure of £50m seems to be the sum of what government money had gone to Trident over a 10 year period. Trident did spend a whole lot of money on fulfilling its role, and as nobody else appears to have been arrested, and as this Zubare Khan was in a senior position for 2 years, (though I understand he had been a part of Trident in a more junior role for the whole period) I am completely baffled why the total funding over a decade is being thrown into the discussion, unless it is for dramatic effect.
There is NO suggestion that the police have investigated misappropriation of £50m of public funds and anyone who says they did is simply lying.
So far as I am aware not a single allegation has been made against either Omar Khan, Joshi or Greenwood, and none of them have resigned from the board of the organisation nor been pushed out. I don't know the current makeup of Trident but do know that Ian Greenwood did NOT resign. He relinquished his position as vice-chairman, but remained on the Board at that time.
All this would seem a tad odd, if Trident's board had any suspicion that anyone else still on it may have been involved in financial irregularities.
In fact, it was reported that it was Trident itself that called in the police to investigate. A report to the Council (which at the time was the accountable body for any misspent money) said"Bradford Trident Ltd has recently identified that a member of their staff team may have been defrauding the company. They informed the Council and the police of their concerns and the police are now actively pursuing this matter."'"
West Yorkshire Police are NOT investigating. They wrapped up their investigation in the spring, and the only individual known to have been investigated is the said Zubare Khan. A file was passed to CPS for consideration in April of this year to decide whether they can successfully charge Zubare Khan. As nobody else was arrested nor does the report involve any other individual then it seems safe to say the police have no grounds to suspect anyone other than Zubare Khan. Are you suggesting otherwise, or that OK, GS, VJ or any of the Bulls management are or were under some sort of police investigation?
So, I would ask, what justification is there for the sort of mudslinging, vilification and condemnation by innuendo and implication that has gone on in this thread, mainly by the moron I thankfully no longer have to read?

If Bradford Bulls had been relegated to the bottom division (as I advocated should be the case for any club going bust) we wouldn't have had all this trouble.

Calm down, I simply answered your question. You asked how much public money the organisation in question had got - the answer is £50m or thereabouts. Nowhere did I suggest or imply that this was the amount under investigation. If I have misinterpreted your question then I apologise, but perhaps you should have been a bit clearer as to what you were referring to.

I didn't say there had been any allegations against those people, you're making that up so you can have a rant. Greenwood is not on the board of Trident now, so unless he was sacked then he resigned. Nobody is suggesting that he resigned due to any impropriety.

Semantics, they WERE investigating, I wasn't aware that it had concluded. Mea culpa.

Erm, no I am not suggesting anything of the sort. How you can draw that conclusion from what I wrote is beyond me. Basically, you asked 5 questions and I gave 5 answers, I did not suggest, imply or otherwise infer anything from those answers. You made the rest up in your own head.

Greenwood was on the pay roll at Bradford Trident. There is practically nothing to show for that £50m. It was a 'jobs for the boys' scheme.
Stick a fork in the Bulls, they are done.
What's that saying about protesting too much

Yup.
When the Broncos went under pre Harlequins, rules were brought in to prevent a club simply re-forming & carrying on
RFL owns tOdsal lease so the rules went in the bin.
