If we really are losing £100k per month pa then we are in deep doo doo, with no realistic way back.

Its possible that we "just" have negative cashflow of £100k per month. That would be consistent with what we already know, that once the pledge pays off existing debts we still need £500k to pay the bills until the end of the season. That would partly be a consequence of receiving all the season ticket money at the start of the year. Serious but not as bad as a accounting losses of £100k per month.

Still of the opinion that this Caisley v Hood power struggle isn't helping the situation.

Peter Hood categorically rubbished the T&A's claim that the club need £1.2m a year to cover the supposedly £100k a month losses.

Obviously I can't go into too much detail about our conversation but he was extremely open throughout and on one occasion he admitted the club had done ............ wrong.

I think it must have been last Thursday night I turned on Radio Leeds, they were interviewing Hood (I presume it was him). He was gushing in his praise of Sutcliffe's support & efforts during this crisis & previously. But what does Hood know?

He has said that at a couple of the Fans Forums he has made mistakes, the Club had made mistakes but the impression was more policy mistakes than financial ones.

Don't doubt we make 100k losses some months but that's operational losses. Other months well make very large profits. Just the nature of the way our income comes in over the year. Bit of deliberate misleading info from paper their I reckon.

Its how this information is being fed to the press is my objection and what Mick said about this hood v caisley battling, I completely agree with

Maybe he knows it's better to keep some people onside by buttering them up rather than have them become openly hostile? Though with self serving buffoons like Sutcliffe it's hard to tell the difference.

If youve not fat on your back then any policy mistake will also have financial implications, and external events that are outside your control will have greater impact as theres no reserves with which to absorb the impact of those events. And that is where the club has been for many years. if Hood is referring to a mistake then imo it was a mistake to spend large amounts of cap on one player. I can see why, as a big name should attract big crowds. But as we then and now Leeds are showing, if you depend upon one player you are a hostage to injury fortune (or the players agent...). And if that is seen as a mistake, Hood has the satisfaction of being able to say that the board learnt from their mistake, and now have a squad that can absorb adversity and still win, which in turn should lead to improvement in the finances. its a shame it didnt happen a season earlier. And I am just as cynical as a number of posters about the timing of Caisleys rescue plan, Hood has constantly said that the board would look at any genuine offer with the implication that they would clear out if it went through, and I suspect would be glad to do so.
