| Nor do I so long as everyone's clear who's doing what. However I do think we may struggle with Sammut out as he was involved in a lot of our better attacking play last week.

Tbf Kearney already does plenty in attack from FB.

He'll be a big loss. I'm just praying that this weekend isn't the round that BJ goes missing! We need a big effort from him, BK and our hookers to have a chance of turning over St Helens.
I do worry that have both 1st choice playmakers out will be a step too far. St Helens will put in a quality performance before too long, I can't help but fear it could well be this weekend.

| You have played better than us though in the last few weeks. What makes you think we will get the 2 points?

| Two key players are out for us this week - Sia & Roby. Best two players this season so far for us imo.

I can't call it at the moment. I just fear that the disruption of losing both halves could be a tough hurdle to overcome. We'll need another big team effort, it will be interesting to see if we can pull together once again to get the result.

| Did you have all them out when you played KR last week (apart from sammut)? Whatever the outcome i'm looking forward to travelling down there to get behind the lads. COYS.

scruton went during hull kr game. all others were already out. plus langley likely to be out despite being in squad. Offset by returns of elima and purtell. think sammut is one too many out against a better side like saints (despite your current form your a class above teams weve been getting results against) but anythings possible if we show team spirit and growing confidence thats been on display last few weeks.

| Well i have mixed views on this weekends game. I'm confident because you haven't won at home yet & you have alot of injuries. On the other hand i'm not so confident the way we have been playing & we have 2 of our best players this year out. It could go any way. I'm predicting a close finish - Saints by about 6. But it won't be a walkover, definitely not. Tbh i'm normally confident playing Bradford at their ground but i can't say im the most confident for this weeks game.

| For god sake how many chance does one man need!! SYKES IS NOT A STAND OFF!!
How can a player who isn't good enough to get in the squad, despite having numerous injuries, then deemed to be good enough to play out of position in one of the most important positions. We need someone who can control the game. Jefferies, despite kicking well to Whitehead, isn''t clicking with ball in hand. As another thread stated, he is hitting the first man far too many times when it needs to go to the backs.
For me it has to be L'estrane. There'll be too much pressure on Addy to play 6. Sykes is just a liability. in the centres or n the wing you can use damage limitation and maybe get somehalf decent stuff out of him like at Hudds, but at 6 he'll be having the ball every set of 6.
Also Langley best be 100% fit. If he's going in with an injury then i'll be fuming. there's a difference between committment and stupidity. Look what happened to Welham.
And just one last point why are we still playing players who are in the 19 man squad in the U20's??
For me:
1. Kearney
2. Pryce
3. Purtell
4. Lulia
5. Crookes
6. Jefferes
7. L'estrange
8. Hargreaves
9. Diskin
10. Manuokafoa
11. Whitehead
12. Bateman
13. Langley (If fit)
14. Addy
15. Walker
16. Elima
17. Burgess

| Some coaches play a backrow forward at 6 when injuries occur, just to smash it up the middle and make ground and stifle the other teams HB's. I'm not sure if Mick Potter would do that or I think we should but I think it's a good option for teams to use. The full back can move into the middle and take the ball like a 6, the only problem would be he wouldnt be there to chime in as a link on the second phase. I'd rather play it simple and safe than play somebody that is likley to come up with a howler.

Fair comment, and you're probably right.
I'd suspect that Sykes will play for his goal kicking though, and if that's the decision, then he has to take some spot on the field, it's a matter of which. Defensively, in the middle of the field he's largely going to be tackling the man coming at him and not making the type of decisions he would in isolation at the back or out wide, though Kearney isn't the best defender either, so it wouldn't be like losing a Keith Mumby figure at the back. Full back or half, I dunno, maybe MP will go with the split again. Glad it's not my decision to be honest. It would be madness mess up the threequarters though, I definitely wouldn't do that.
Assuming langers isn't going to be fit, I'd like to see Addy at loose. We lose Langley's tackling and physical presence but get a very skilful runner and ball player instead; it's a win something lose something situation for me but hopefully we're no worse off, and we have Elima coming back which should be a boost, though it's unfair to expect too much in his first match back.
