We should feel privileged to see WORLD CLASS talents like Cameron Phelps and Amos Roberts
Campri making a comeback.

Lockers is also our longest serving player! Last season Lockers was miles better than Langley.
Currently Lockers is the better player. Whats the point in saying 'I bet he will have more this and more that' because right now he doesn't.'"
Right now Langley does have more metres, tackles and mpc stat.
I said P'Loughlin was far better last season, but Langers played through it all with a shoulder injury and was playin in the 9th side in the competition. O'Loughlin was fully fit and played in a top 6 side, obviously he was bound to do better last year.
Let the stats speak for themselves at the end of the season.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

So you honestly think Langley was better than lockers last season? And has been better so far this season?
Hard facts.... like.... being picked for the England 4 nations squad.
Being the captain of the team that has finished 3rd for the last 3 years and made 2 challenge cup semi-finals.
Consistantly being on of the top tacklers in the league. I am pretty sure he is right up there this season as well.
Also, he is alot more skilfull than Langley, he has a great passing range and is very creative. He also has a decent kicking game.
Langley is a very good battering ram who works hard, lockers is that, and some. I know which one I would rather have.

Langley is now vice-captain of our side. He's one of the top tacklers in the league. So far he's one of the top metre-makers in the league. Langley filled in at Hooker last season for about 30 minutes of a match, so his passing can't be that bad .
Langley declared himself unable to play fro England last year because he needed his shoulder op, simply playing the whole season and still being near the best in tackles and metres with a dodgy shoulder says something about him.
I know who i'd rather have

If you are dealing with facts, now that it has been explained to you what they are, he has also won absolutely nothing at all.
Odd that plenty of Wigan fans have been moaning on C&W for ages about consistently losing in semi finals and how it is a disgrace yet now, when it suits them, it is seen as some sort of achievement?

I've heard of Shaun Wane, he was a distinctly average front rower who Monie dumped when it was apparent he wasn't up to standard. Since packing up playing he's become a coach but has little pedigree at the top level other than four wins as an assistant to a bloke who comes from a club who are world leaders in RL.'"
Oh sorry I forget Wane's going up against the almighty Mcnamara, a coach so far ahead of his peers that his tactics and game plan have all before him bowing down in awe and amazement.
Whatever you think of Shaun's playing career doesn't really matter, afterall if a playing career did impact on one's ability to coach, how the hell would the numpty that is Steve Mcnamara be in charge of a SuperLeague team.
Perhaps Bradford's fan's problem with Wigan's fan's optimism is the fact that they look at their own club and don't see a bright light at the end of the tunnel, but instead a continuing slippery slope to nowhere.

Nice of you to conveniently leave out the rest of my post? Read it all and you will see I was not being 'cocky' or 'arrogant'.
Quote: Bullseye "I can't see where our first loss is going to come from the way we are playing. Sure defeats are inevitable during the season, but I don't have any games down marked as a 'loss' whereas in previous seasons certain games I just didn't expect us to go and win.
My thought on Bradford is the same as everyone elses. It's Wigan's to lose. If we play like we have been playing we should win. I've not been impressed by Bradford at all. The only impressive looking win being against Castleford and apart from their opening day win at Leeds I think they have been very poor and Bradford still managed to leak some soft tries in that game. I think our defence will be too much for them. Orford and Kearney will really have to play out their skin to unlock our defence. Their forward pack is pretty good and Steve Menzies is a class act, but overall 1-17 we are better than them IMO.
Not being cocky or arrogant, but I'm just confident in the way we are playing at the moment. Plenty of interest in this game in terms of away support as well. The coach firm I go with could probably take another coach load there has been that much interest in the match. Never usually like that. My brother who has never been to an away match for at least five or six years is coming to this game. A real buzz around the place at the moment. Let's hope it doesn't have to come to an end!'"
What's 'arrogant' or 'cocky about that?
Another post I have made that has also quite conveniently been left to filter down the rlfans archives:
I don't think it is the fact that Wigan have won games like Crusaders, Hull KR and Catalans (seems as we have no harps about Warrington) it's the manner in which we have won these matches which has filled us fans with such confidence and hope & there is nothing wrong with that at all IMO. Some people seem to be almost 'telling others off' for getting so confident and optimistic about this season - why? Our lads deserve the recognition for the performances they have been putting in. Who else this year is going to beat Warrington on their own patch and then nil Catalans the following week? Or do either of those things for that matter? Does anyone think any other teams this year will keep their opponents to nil in more than four halves of rugby league?
These comparisons with Hull FC from last year are nonsensical and they scream fear IMO from rival supporters. Although results are similar in the fact that both teams won their opening four games, but the performances are not. Did Hull FC only concede 2 tries in their opening 3 home games? Did they manage to nil anyone? Did the manage to keep their opponents scoreless in four halves of Rugby League? Wigan are a completely different side to the Hull FC team of 2009. I think people are more in hope that we will follow suit than actually truly believing it.

Genius post.
Look at his try/try assists ratio.
Look at how many penalties he has conceded in comparison to O'loughlin.
Then blush a little, ignore my post and think twice before you post such rubbish in the future.

Yeah cos as a Bradford fan I can't face the prospect of Leeds and Saints not playing the Grand Final...
...again!
I would love it if a different team broke up the top two but it won't be Wigan as they have peaked to early. Just like Hull last year and Wakefield before that.

It's more fun to be selective with the facts
Where have I even remotely bigged up McNamara's coaching credentials?
In fact where has anyone done that?
So how about you put your plonker back in your pants, put away the tissues and get a sense of perspective? Wane may go on to be the British answer to Wayne Bennett but at the moment he's merely assistant to a bloke with 4 wins under his belt.
