| Eddie's current position is a pretty good description of much my entire political make up. I have been for things in the past but not nearly so passionately as what I am against. Somewhere along the line since 2010 I've come to realise that what I am against and what I am for got confused somewhere with the tribalism of politics. Perhaps I'm projecting a little but I think Labour's biggest mistake is to underestimate how many voters are driven by that principle.

| I just hope people think carefully and vote for who they feel is right for the country and not allow themselves to be bullied and abused by people who can shout louder. Democracy will win and we will all get on with life and start planning for our next spell in administration. I have been voting for about 40 years and voted for just about all of them and everything seems to be the same for me even when I voted for Tony and then Gordon.

| Saw a poll today and the for the majority of voters - this election is all about Brexit, and the majority think that May would get a better result for Britain than Corbyn. The second most popular topic was immigration and again, the majority think that May would be stronger than Corbyn.
Read into that what you will.

| Tories have pledged to get immigration down to the 10's of thousands. But there again they did in 2015 and 2010 as well.
They have also pledged to put a cap on the amount that energy companies can charge. This is the same policy that they claimed was ridiculous when suggested by Labour in their 2015 manifesto.

| Tories will pledge the Earth and deliver nothing but misery and pain for millions. Why are so many nurses using foodbanks anyone? And things will only get worse under May's dictatorship. Hope all the Tory voters are still around to see the damage they will have done in four years. Let's hope they don't need the NHS, or find themselves having to choose between eating or putting the heating on.

| Can anybody answer me this question
When you see Corbyn on TV, does anybody think " Do you know what I think this guy will make a good prime minister, I'm gonna vote for his lot"

| Quote: Bullseye "Do you reckon there's a serious chance of another referendum and independence? I'm not so sure. The SNP bang on about it but I think a lot of it is hot air.'"
Oh they will do all they can to get the referendum Sam, it is all they have. Sadly they have no interest in serving the people of Scotland that they claim to love as everything they aim for is Independence.
Highlander makes the point about the Indy/Brexit debate. I am not so sure. We were far more vociferous about Indyref than we were about the EU vote. The Union is more important to us.
Still, when the easily led seem to think that Independence is the only answer. Independence relying on "foreigners" money (the UK Sterling) and European rule seems an odd description of Independence to me.
Sturgeon and Salmond. Not just their names that are fishy. A pair of parasites and a complete embarrassment to me.

Just a suggestion, but maybe try looking at a party's policies rather than just the bloke who happens to be fronting it?
I hate the way the tories are attacking Corbyn personally with some of their advertising, not to mention that idiot Boris throwing around the personal insults. It's the petty and ugly side of politics that I can't stand. They should be pushing their own ideas and policies rather than trying to attack someone else's with bullsh*t fearmongering.

In 1972 maybe. Socialism is a dangerous ideal. I find it odd that some Labour voters liken Theresa May to Kim Jong-Un. Corbyns policies are far closer to Communist North Korea than May will ever be.
However, let me say once again. I am NOT a Tory. I never have been, but I will next month, for once.
A Tory landslide may well accelerate Labour change and stop the SNP juggernaut. A win win IMO. I, for one would take 5 years of Tories if it led to a better Labour Party and a silenced SNP.
And I have always voted Lib Dem. Till the last but one time........

That's the problem. People are very shallow and get sucked in by the media bias. Maybe you should look at what he stands for and the good he would do for this country, not just dislike him because he is not a slick media trained clone and has a beard.

Is that all you have? I find the "Tories are to blame for everything" mantra quite tiresome TBH.
If they are THAT bad, yet will win by a landslide then what does that say about the rest?
At least offer some balance.

Or you could vote for May because you think she's great (haha!) only to find that she resigns after a year and you are stuck with Barmy Boris. I'd vote for policies over personalities every time.

Which again is the issue. They are that bad, but the opposition is worse. At least thats what everyone sees.
I have not blamed the Tories for everything. I am no fan of Blair and was opposed to taking us into war, etc. I work in the public sector and I have watched as things get systematically dismantled through lack of funding, and through incompetent leaders, too concerned with pushing through their own agenda, without feeling the need to actually engage with the people who do it day in day out. It was better under Labour, and that's not rose coloured specs, thats fact.
I work with families daily who don't have money to live on, with their children living in poverty (in poverty - in England - in the 21st Century!), with parents with mental health issues, with no support from the local community. Why no support? Under the Tories, the local health centre has been closed, the local Community Centre/Family Centre/Nursery has been closed, the social care services have been cut to the bare minimum, the school nurse has gone, the educational psychologist has gone, the EWO has gone. There is no-one left to deal with this apart from the school. And next year, budgets slashed again, so less staff. Society is imploding on itself, and the Tory could not give a f**k.
But May will trot out the same old lines - "investment in schools is at an all time high", and people will actually fall for it. It's sickening.
So yes, in five years, I don't think there will be much left of the area I work in.
