Great idea any fan not happy can show their dissatisfaction to their clubs chairman by not going to watch them, thus not putting money into their club, thus heaping financial problems on their club, thus giving SL and the RFL the option to throw money at a few other clubs.

Didn't see that coming, but who's surprised by anything now? Lets see the detail and hope SL(E) can get a quick purchase and and even quicker resale.
...I suspect removing BG will be the best outcome.
Player ins and out for next season could be interesting deals for our new owners if it comes off!
Assuming it does come off, what happens to the HMRC owed monies? held over for the next sale or settled by SL(E)??
Still more twists in this yet.

| Good news for you guys.
You should win the GF, CC and be top of the league in 2013.
clubs won't want to upset SLE by beating their team

| For the SL clubs to have agreed this, and unanimously(!), I suspect something fairly drastic must have recently emerged from the woodwork that can be hushed up now. However, whatever the reason, if I was a Bradford supporter all I'd be concerned about was that I've still got a club.

It's an unconditional offer from SLE so the RFL will accept it. The RFL are making sure there are no strings attached to any bids and rightly so.
Those people accusing the RFL of everything under the sun should be applauding the way they've handled this deal. This way a club is saved from falling into the wrong hands.
Now every SL club has had a say in this too. Can't say fairer than that surely? If they collectively want to make a bid then that's fair enough.
The issue now is finding a "[iproper[/i" buyer who can take the club from SLE and develop it. We may be safe from imminent liquidation but the long term future is far from secure as I see it.

Restore some credibility to Superleague
Provide some stability to the players
Get rid of the ABC bid which now looks as though could not put any money in
Allow remaining SL matches to be played
Allow time to see if a 'real' buyer could be found who puts RL 1st and making ££ second
An excellent move I would say.....but we are still not at the end yet.'"
Wonder if Crusaders and Wakefield share your sentiments?

While the SLE bid is undoubtedly a sensible, short term option I can only imagine it will involve the setting up of a newco to be sold on.
It's one thing taking over the running of a club, but taking on the liabilities it clocked up would lead to a, fairly justified, outcry.

| Mea Culpa-- I have been one of the critics of the League and am very pleased they have now acted on the suggestion made by Sadler in this week's RL Express.
It's obviously an interim solution but if the offer is acceptable to the administrator it leaves RL professionals free to headhunt or receive enquiries without a middleman. That gives us some possible outcomes-- not certain but possible:
1.continued SL status
2.continuation of an Academy organisation
3.the reemployment of the coaching staff and essential admin staff
It's the 2 & 3 that are most important to me
It's obvious that some are upset and I can see how you feel the Bulls have been treated as a special case. Let's be blunt-- they have been.
It is difficult to be objective when you have been following a club since the 60's. But I do remember the League helping some of the clubs often mentioned -- in particular didn't the League put in staff to the Crusaders?
But I prefer to think that the majority of RL fans will take the attitude that Carney and Wells expressed on Boots n' All. And given the unanimity of the club's vote perhaps they feel that as well.

Thats what I was thinking, we're getting outcrys anyway, for some of which I can hear the rattle hitting the nursery wall from here. But if SL(E) were to pay the outstanding debt it would indeed be a justified outcry and a crazy precedent. We'll have new owners or no owners before the start of next season.

| seems a good move in the short term, though how it would work medium to long term then i dont know. I cant see how they would just let us fold at the end of the season after putting in the money now.
Say if no buyer comes forward and we have to fold, will the other clubs/SLE just write off any monies they have contributed to the deal to take us to the end of the year or whatever

| Have I missed something?
Everyone is talking about a fait accompli but there's only one person who can sanction a sale of the Bulls, and that's BG.
Long way to go yet IMO.
