To be fair it was only one Leeds fan. Think your analysis is correct, although Sinfield doesn't seem to count as a backrow any more and we also have Steve Ward who is an equivalent prospect to Bateman but a different type of player who might end up a stand-off. |

Losing Bateman would undoubtedly be a big blow, especially to those who have pledged. However I would have to hear why selling our best young player meant we could move forward in the future. I worry for our long term future if we need to sell to keep going. What will have changed in 2 years from now? Or will we need to sell our next brightest star once again to keep going.
We have heard we have this long term plan.. well I'd want to hear it and in some detail. Selling someone like Lynch at inflated prices I can seethe logic in. Selling youngsters to balance the books paints a grim picture for me.

Exactly my thoughts
How would it know that it wouldn't be Bateman today, then Whitehead tomorrow? How long before we sell Kopczak, Crookes and so on. It could simply be a repeated cycle....just to keep going |
