| Craig Richards was similar to Garry Van Bellen, both really looked the part but didn't realise their true potential.I remember Craig scoring a superb try away at Oldham if my memory is correct, sidestepping the full back to go under the sticks.

Add Ryan Hudson to that list.
Karl Pryce was a toothless lion during his first stint at the club. He had all the attributes but no heart, massive waste of talent. Glenn Hall was another one who never really got going but he had some awful stuff going on off the field during his stint at Odsal which obviously impacted on his game.

| Michael Platt? A few other SL clubs wanted him at the time we signed him. Started like a house on fire for us, was top try scorer for a lot of that season. Thought we'd got a good young player. But then the calamities started. Never forget that time he just watched the ball in the in-goal, with virtually everyone in the stadium screaming at him it wasn't going out...
2007-2010 seemed to be the years where average players had one good game, or played well against us we'd sign them. Paul Sykes, Rikki Sheriffe, Chris Nero.

I thought Caro really looked the part especially after that try he scored against Leigh. All seemed to go down hill after he got injured.

| In recent times you would have to say Luarki who never looked fit and seemed to get a great thrill passing the ball to no one and then giving needless penalties away.
For the older folk on here David Smith who we signed from Leeds for £18000(a lot of money at the time) in the early 80s and who had scored a mountain of tries with Wakefield and Leeds turned up and played like he was scared to death .I'm still struggling to forgive him for not scoring under the posts at Headingley in the Chall Cup Semi Final against Fev after Hanleys wonder try(it was harder not to score than score) the try would have taken us to Wembley

The usual reason is money! You get what you pay for!

Considering he'd spent his UK career in the Championship I actually thought Royston went pretty well for us

| I never had a problem with Iestyn Harris as a player. For sure, after his spell in union he wasn't what he was at Leeds but I don't remember any particular lack of effort or 'esprit de corps'. He was a reasonable player but was well overpaid by Caisley due to his ill fated desire to P-off Gary Hetherington. That is not something you can blame the payer for - if he'd asked me to play for that money I'd have said, "yes please", rather than what I should have said, which was "actually, have you really seen me play"?
With Solomona, you got what you got. He was a one-off in many ways and would do some incredible stuff at times but as was pointed out above, circumstances changed after he was signed and in that season we really needed a workhorse but got a show pony. Unfortunate but not his fault, imo.
