| Quote Bets'y Bulls="Bets'y Bulls"A fairly accurate article in my opinion. The RFL not selling the lease is interesting, i thought Green said it was almost a done deal and just needed legalities sorting?'"
No, I think the last deal Green was talking about was actually the one with the council, for the freehold, iirc. If that deal with the council goes through it will be interesting as we will own the ground but will still be paying rent to the RFL - they, of course, will then be paying rent to us...

| Quote vbfg="vbfg"Doesn't Ferres do all of it?'"
I expect Lowes gives him a list of players and Ferres then tries to get them - I could be wrong. Whether Ferres then goes "off piste" with that request I don't know. The history of the game is littered with examples of coaches falling out with management over recruitment.
I do wonder about our ever expanding squad that doesn't include a proper scrum half or a fullback that can do what we need. Was it all put together with a clear plan in mind or was some of it done on a whim? It doesn't look like the most carefully assembled squad and judging by how many games certain players get not all of them are wanted by the coach.
I'll leave people to draw their own conclusions.

| Heard a little rumour Lovegrove could be forced to retire with his latest head injury. Not too sure how true this is, hope it's not. I think he is a very good player

I know he's had issues with concussion in the past. Hope he makes the right decision for his long term health.

I wasn't personally aware of history there but the London forum was dripping in references to this being on the cards about the time we signed him.

Yes, when my lad was on loan at London last year Lovegrove missed a fair few games later in the season with concussion, when he did play he certainly stood out

| That won't help with the signing of a scrum half, we will need another prop if he has to retire! Seriously hope all goes ok for him and he doesn't have to

| Well, the article is essentially a distillation of everything you could read on this forum and Bulls Banter FB - with the swearing and ranting filtered out!
I'm not sure why we need another centre - once Purtell, Welham and Blythe are fit we'll have plenty of decent enough centres fighting for the two slots.
Obviously we need a scrum half and full back. In other news, the sky is blue...

| The facts are that the RFL won't give the ground back to Green for the reasons mentioned in the T&A today.

No reason at all then? There are no reasons mentioned in the T&A today.

Quote Peter Hood="T&A"However, the RFL's top brass have refused to sell the lease back to Green and there is no sign of things changing.'"
a) they weren't being asked to "give", they refused to "sell";
b) they mention no reasons;
c) they won't sell the lease is one fact. What other "facts" are there?
So is there a point to what you wrote?
