They can't be anywhere near the cap with the squad they have atm, so I imagine they gave plenty of room.
Not that it will matter if Pootash gets his way.

| they'll be like crusaders in nobbys play off year, a tough team but nowhere near title contenders.

| I'm not too fussed with Salford signing Morley - he's not been right for the last 2 years.
I watched him against Wigan last week and he never looked like busting the tackles, I would have been a little disappointed if we signed him tbh.
I think Cowcash's interest in Salford will be short lived, he made a statement a couple of weeks ago saying if he couldn't bring success then he would walk away. Doesn't really inspire that he's going to be there through the tough times.
I think his current involvement with the squad on matchdays is a little questionable (storming in at half time venting his anger), could push Noble over the edge if this continues next season.

| I do have concerns about Koukash's staying power, however the repeated pis stake of his name is a bit unnecessary. I am sure if this was OK people were referring to there would be suggestions of envy & borderline racism.

Koukash isn't going anywhere anytime soon. He's got massive plans reguarding our youth set up and has told fans at a recent fans meeting that he's in it for the long haul, what he actually said to the reporter was if after all his effort he's going to put into this project and we fail to to do anything he's not going to just sit around and watch an average lower table team. To me that sound like fighting talk and he's showing he's total dedication to making Salford a rugby league power.

If so, the next few years will be interesting.
I would expect the signings to become easier now he has a couple of 'big names', Noble will do a job for you, that much is certain.
Would be nice to add another team that can challenge for the title, I just hope his interest lasts

We need more people like Koukash investing in RL, yes hes a bit outspoken, but so what? Makes for something to talk about, and if he can drag Salford up the table all well and good. As long as he follows through on some of the talk and sets the club up to have strong foundations to cope with or without him its all good as far as I can tell.
And for everyone having a serious dig, or waiting for you to fail on the VT and elsewhere, they seem to forget what was the alternative for Salford fans last year?
Good luck for 2014

The poor bloke. Massive problem for multi millionaires, being called names.
It probably is mainly jealousy though, I'm sure fans of most clubs wish he would have chosen them!
Like others have said, good luck to Salford, I just hope he doesn't sign up a team and leave Salford with no way of paying the wages if he decides for whatever reason to leave.

Can't see that one, his name happens to resemble the phrase "cash cow", which for someone bankrolling a club is rather a happy co-incidence for the comedically challenged, all of whom post as if they just thought of it first. It is in no way "racist" - it is a pun on his actual, er, name. Even if it is already more tired than the Bulls defence after 60 minutes.

If cash cow was the only name used I wouldn't have an objection, it's not a bad pun if fairly obvious, but it isn't, there have been several, Pootash for instance on this thread.

Obvs Morley being the first, but soon to follow
Just seen on Knights website - Michael Dobson has signed for Newcastle Knights for 2014. Not meant as a dig at Salford or anyone else. I wish Salford well. I remember the great side they had with Watkins, Hesketh, Gill, Coulman, Dixon, Richards, Fielding etc and what great football they played.

Yeah seen this this morning, but apparently Meli & Peletua already signed up,
And apparently they have some big news coming early August i think it is which i would presume is Chase,
But wasnt there a problem with Chase being able to leave Cas for another club in the UK from when he was supposedly off to Hull FC ???

"Pootash"? Are you being serious? Google reveals thishttps://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term. It seems to be pretty asinine, (or maybe inine) but I don't get how it's racist?
