Why not have the offer on all day, from when the shop opened?

The ONLY difference between that and what they did is the trade off between the extra 25% ££ milked from the unsuspecting early purchasers, as opposed to the ££ value of the loss of goodwill of those same purchasers. Every one of whom is feeling ripped off and disgusted.

That would be logical but why include the replica shirts in the discount. People would be less upset if they'd said 25% discount on everything except the shirts and had it before the match as well. It's almost like they looked at revenue from attendance on the day then did the sale to make up a shortfall in income. Hopefully a one off thing until the new directors funds are in place and the share issue is done, both bringing funds into the club.

Sadly I fear many fans may now actually hold back spending money in the shop in case we have any more random sales in the next couple of months. My wife purchased a shirt for £46 before the game so I'm far from happy. I would be less annoyed if we could actually have heard the announcement on the PA system.

No, that's completely different, you get it early and the price is the price. You know there'll be offers in the future.

This is winding up customers who just paid full whack while they are still jn the shop, and when you knew in an hour or so there would be a 25% off sale.

While I agree that it was a badly handled promotion, I feel that some on here are going a tad OTT in their response to it.

Dear me. Last season I was condemned by so many on here because I said that I would not pledge any money to help the club whilst the Hoodwinker was in charge and I was told how important my investment was. No doubt in the eyes of some I was a disgrace for not wanting to bail out a crook (alledgedly).

Fast forward a few months and some people are up in arms over a couple of quid that, after all, helps out the club. Last year it was all about digging deep and you got nothing back for your pennies. Now, you actually get a shirt yet plenty are moaning? Is this some sort of moral high ground thing as in it makes people feel superior to make a donation for nothing in return?

Suppose hearing that announcement after shelling out on expensive apparel would have been like leaving a fruit machine cos you've run out of cash. Only to hear the coins drop from some bloke as you walk out the pub.

I ordered, and paid in full for, a home shirt some time before my season ticket arrived. When it did, the pack contained a money off voucher for a home shirt. Gave myself a wry smile at the time...I'm now in a quandary - should I add it onto this thread or start a new one?
