| I want Wigan to win a close game so that Leeds actually lose but McDermot can point to progress. Him staying in post for next season is crucial to my garnering any pleasure from rugby league in the short to medium term.

Well done for identifying my worse case scenario for tomorrow. If we lose narrowly there's still a good chance of getting battered in the play-offs which might still be enough to oust McDermott.
To be honest, as much as I used to derive pleasure from Bradford losing out in finals (esp. when Leeds were uncompetitive, e.g. 1996), I'd enjoy RL a lot more at the moment if the Bulls were back up where they belong, if only to bring back the more intense and exciting derby games that we were blessed with pre-McNamara.

| Hmmm. I want Wigan to continue their Challenge Cup drought but I made a promise when I was born:
I only support 2 teams in RL, the BRADFORD BULLS and anyone whos playing Leeds. So Wigan it is

| like many Bulls fans, I'm not bothered. I don't want Leeds to win due to Hetherington being in charge. I don't want Wigan to win due to the smugness of Wigan fans. I'll watch it but feel hollow whoever lifts the trophy.

Even better than I could have hoped for. Not only a close game but daylight robbery. The pass for Lima's try was a yard forward and the ball clearly came off Charnley at the touchline. You can't sack a coach after that.
Only kidding, you wuz robbed Ex!

| It was a good game but yet again all the talk will be about the officials. Could he have gone to the video ref for the touch call off Charnley?

Yes because two mistakes from them decided the final scoreline. The forward pass for Lima was obvious and why did the Bentham refuse to go to the video ref for that forty twenty after Hicks' c0cked up?

You've misunderstood me, I wasn't complaining about the topic more moaning that the mistakes being made and detracting from the game - which I thought was good. Less about the forward pass, they should have tackled him, but the touch call should have gone to the video ref.

Charnley was moving away from the ball and clearly didn't play at it so that decision was actually correct.

I'm not quite sure what you mean here, he took a swing at the ball, missed and then touched the ball with his leg. As he went to kick the ball then surely even if he then tries to not touch the ball it doesn't matter, he has still intended to play the ball.

The first connection with the ball I saw was from the Leeds player, to be honest, I don't think Charnley was really ever in range of kicking the ball(so even if you view that he flung out a leg, he missed) until the Leeds player propelled it into him, and by then he was going backwards and couldn't get out of the way. Correct decision for me.
