| Did Wakefield score that last try from a knock on or was that my eyes playing tricks on me?

| We made far too many simple errors today, but we got the 2 points and put 40 on the board. You can see the team still needs to gel, but in time iam sure it will come, especially when everyone is fit. It's a breath of fresh air to see speed on the wings though, i thought Raynor and Ainscough were superb today.

| Platt and ainscough linked well, koppy is playing brilliantly this year, yet is still getting his knockers..would love to know when robert back to six hicks got some of his decisions from..even child was baffled..koppy seemed to ground the ball in front of posts but then push it forward without lifting his arm..did disko get penalised for not standing up quick enough under the posts??

| Just got back.
First things first, Herbert was rusty. He did a few good things but his kicking game wasn't the best, thankfully we had Kearney with him, who was sublime and pretty much unplayable in the first half.
There were alot of good things, and for the third week in a row, the performance has improved. The team are continuing to gel together nicely, and we dropped a little bit too much ball for my liking, but there was still a lot of good things to take away from the game. I expect MP will echo similar comments post-match.
The wingers were excellent. Raynor does so much work for this team, and having been sceptical of his signing initially, he's proving to be a good member of this side. Shaun Ainscough appears to have fixed the defensive issues that were his much criticised weakness before he arrived here, and he looks very comfortable, especially with Michael Platt playing with him. Thought it was a shame we didn't get the ball on the edges a little bit more, Platt showed what he can do with ball in hand for Royston's 2nd try.
Matt Diskin was excellent, throws a few flat balls mind! When he starts moving from dummy half we make some serious metres down the field. Much more use to us than Godwin was last year, and we didn't miss L'Estrange today IMO, as Addy also looked comfortable when he came on.
All in all, some good things, and when Herby's bang on it and the team are fully cohesive, we'll be a match for anyone! Defensively we were better today too, although to be fair, we played the whipping boys today IMO. It will be a long, arduous season for Wakefield.

| Does anybody know what the women was doing in the second half with the camera man? Didn't recognise her but she looked like she was trying to get some shots saying something and then panning to the crowd?
Good game overall but I thought at times we were at the wrong end of some decisions. Kicking could have been better in game and it does irk me a bit that we dont seem to get further distance on some of our kicks for touch.
Top marks for Raynor for his chase back, just a shame they went over at the next play. I wonder what will happen when Briggs is back, Shad Roystons support play is great will he drop out if/when Kearney drops back to full back?

| Just how good was Andy Lynch? He was the best player on the field today IMO. In fact I'm struggling to think of one of forwards who didn't have a good game, perhaps Scruton still being a little off the pace right now.
Our pack dominated the young Wakey forwards which made things much easier for our backs. I thought Koppy looked great and Olbison justified Potter's decision to give him a start. Elima also had his best game in a Bulls shirt and Hargreaves got through a ton of work.
Also great to see both wingers in great form, Raynor has had a great start to his Bulls career and Ainscough has shown up really strongly so far.
Still a few too many silly errors, I think I counted four knocks ons in our own half in the first 15mins of the 2nd half which against more experienced opposition could have been costly. Hopefully those errors will reduce as the season progresses and the team click together. We'll certainly need to improve this to get a result at Huddersfield next week.
Nice to leave Odsal with a win for once!

| Well done a comfortable win for you unlike the night before, when we looked like an amateur side.

| All coming along nicely. Team seems to be getting stronger and we still have the likes of Walker, Heath, Briggs, Donaldson and Langley on the treatment table. It really goes to show how good our squad is.
However, it WAS only Wakefield who will struggle to finish anywhere but dead last this season cos they are utterly useless. Much tougher test next week when we can really see where we are as a side.
