No great surprise, he once decked half of the Leeds side so one man was never going to trouble Big Mac!

Can`t even remember one Leeds player getting knocked out in that match.
Even the heavyweight Damien Gibson stayed on his feet. Powder puff punches I would say. Still I wouldn`t start on him though.

Have another look at that video (1997 CC semi). Amusing if only because all the current Leeds coaching set-up are involved (Brian Mac & Lowes vs Barrie Mac and Gibson). Newton & Morley also involved.

he was lucky to get the decision in my eyes... he sat behind a jab for most of the fight.. threw a few decent shots but nothing of note.. scully got him with a good shot in the third and he looked in trouble.... john conteh jumped in when scully was raining the shots in on him... our table all thought he had stopped the fight.. but turns out it was the end of the third round... would have been interesting to see a few more rounds.
